My husband wears these for work and he says they are so comfortable. Our family has only bought SAS shoes for the past 15 years and will continue to do so.

One of the very few shoe companies that provide a proper fit for a narrow heel.

they are heavier than I expected. I don't like the waxed shoe strings... thanks for including normal ones. Well made and very nice appearance.

I ordered a wide 8.5 and should have got a 9. The boot is well built with excellent support but just not enough wiggle room for my toes. I've worn them a few times to break them in so it's too late for a return or exchange which is disappointing. But that's on me, just wish I had gone to an SAS store to get measured first.

My husband is very happy with these boots. They are comfortable and dressy enough to wear to work.

This is one of the best built shoes I have come across for people looking for ankle support, and are flat footed. I thought I could get away with an 11 Wide, but it was too tight. So if you have an extra wide foot, then you will need the extra wide. I am normally a 3E/4E, or EW.

Very sturdy, comfortable, and attractive. I had to get it in one step wider directly from SAS, as it was a bit narrow for me. But, SAS offers many fit options, so not really a fault of the shoe, just a part of SAS's niche in fit. I feel great in these shoes, and they can dress up or down.

This shoe is very well made, but to be determined on the comfort. I alternate these with my Ambassadors and there is a difference. The soles of the Ambassadors seem to be more for comfort, whereas the Hatchet's for durability. Don't get me wrong, this is a great shoe, but not the same comfort level as SAS of yesteryear. Plus, the price has skyrocketed and local shoe stores no longer carry. My only grip is that you can't return the shoes if you wear them. My question is, how do you know you like them if you don't wear them? I paid around $375 w/ taxes and shipping. But a, no return if you wear policy, may keep me from further purchases, and that's a shame, because I've been wearing SAS for several years.

Was expecting legendary SAS comfort with these boots. My redwings have them slightly beat

Bought this boot, really looks great on website. I always buy wide, could hardly get my foot into them. Trying to show horn them with boot oil. Leather is very dry and stiff.
