I am a 79-year-old former coach, physical education teacher and college professor who have heard about how good SAS shoes were for many years. After trying almost every brand of athletic-type shoe on the market, most of which are foreign made, I decided to try SAS shoes about two years ago. I still have the first pair I bought then, and they still look almost new. I have since bought two more pairs of the same style, Journey Mesh Lace-up Sneaker, in different colors. The workmanship and quality of each is flawless. They are sturdy and comfortable. They last and last, and they are made here in America. I love them!

They are by far the best shoes I've ever found for walking/jogging, and it's not even close These shoes actually deliver on any of the promises that all other shoes advertised and fell short. Someone at SAS figured out the magic shoe formula. Best of all, made in America . The laces came from "The Shoelace Factory" (made in USA). Top is from Origin Maine (also made in USA). See pics.

My first two pairs were so good, I just bought my third pair. They fit well and look good. They are made well and last.

Purchased these for my 90 year old father who walks everyday but has painful feet. He loves them and they help keep him mobile,

I live in sneakers except one hour Sunday morning, my all time favorite. I work out at the gym, do my yard work, even go out to dinner. Needless to say I have several pairs.

At last footwear with size/fit options that provide the most comfort I've found in the 12 years I've been wearing a Richie brace. They're attractively styled and, yes, more expensive than run-of-the-mill competitors, but their quality, the ability to custom-size, and comfort they provide are well worth the premium. SAS customer service is second to none as well. I recommend them highly.

I used one pair for work and one pair for better dressing up, as the work ones get worn I start using the newer pair and then buy a new pair. They with my shoe inserts have kept me out of my foot Dr's office once you have foot pain and find a shoe that works you stay with it.

First, they are supremely comfortable. The fit is perfect, and the quality and functionality are superb. Better still, they're Made in America . Someone somewhere figured out the magic shoe formula. Some serious shoe engineering and know how went in to making these and while I hope SAS continues to create new styles and expand the line of male athletic shoes, they must never deviate from this perfect design. The shoe is stable but not clompy. It's supportive, solid, and substantial, but not heavy. The bottom of the shoe seems flat, but foot roll is fluid on the jog. The cushioning is pure perfection. I've tried Adidas pure boost... Way too squishy, like running in sand. All Reebok are too hard and offer little to no cushioning. The same for all barefoot style running shoes. They're too jarring. Until I found these SAS shoes I had settled on Asics gel running shoes of various varieties that offered a decent balance of firmness and squishiness of the gel... That was until I found SAS... Now there's no going back. SAS has been around for awhile, and I wish I had found them sooner. As long as they continue to produce these comfort perfected shoes here in America , I will only purchase SAS from now on. I am proud to wear and promote this high quality, superior comfort, American made product. To recap, when you purchase SAS Journey Mesh Lace-ups you're actually acquiring two little globs of foot fitting perfection.

Shoes adapt to fixing to fit my disability with brace etc.

I've been wearing SAS shoes for years and have never been dissatisfied. Would highly recommend.

It has been a lifelong issue for my husband to find a wide shoe that looked stylish and not brown or black drab. Please make more shoes that look like they are from the last two centuries. Truth: not all people with hard to fit feet are 90 years old!!

I'm a photojournalist, portrait & event photographer. I need black athletic shoes that offer support, comfort and width for my wide feet. I've worn these shoes almost every day for work, at the gym and running errands for a full year. I'm only considering buying a new pair to have on hand for dressier events. Very pleased! P.S. I did replace the shoes laces, the ones that came with the shoes would not stay tied unless knotted.

I am 6'5" tall and 275 pounds. These are great shoes with great support. I have own over 4 pairs.

I need a Narrow width in a shoe and Narrow width is hard to find in shoe manufacturers, so I stick with SAS. Been wearing the Journey Mesh Lace Up Sneakers over the years and have the shoes in pale grey, blue denim, and just received it in solid black. Good quality and wears like iron. Dependable shoe and manufacturer.

Casual and when I need decent well fitting sneakers, SAS do me an outstanding pleasure of comfort every time. I wish I could afford (I have 5 pair now) more. I am fortunate to have your shoes SAS. No other brand comes close to your shoes. Thank you all at SAS Henry

I have worn running shoes for many years for walking, bike riding and general comfort. I would purchase a couple of pair at a time in an effort to get more life out of them by rotating them, but they still lasted only a number of months. I then tried a pair of SAS Journey. I do not have an SAS store near me, so I purchased an 11 double wide online and hoped for the best. Turned out the size 11 was a bit large. I ordered a 10 1/2 double wide and they fit great. I decided to just wear the size 11 pair to knock around in and wear them out. That was a couple of years ago. I cannot wear these things out. They still look ok and feel good, and they have seen a lot of use (and abuse). I keep the size 10 1/2 clean and use them to wear when I want to look respectable. I have not purchased another pair of imported (but not cheap) shoes in a long time. I will pick up another pair of SAS Journey in the near future. I like these shoes a lot; comfortable and very durable. Not really that expensive when you consider how much longer they will last than other running shoes.

Excellent shoes, comfortable from the moment I put them on .

My situation may be slightly different than the average customer. My Podiatrist and Orthopedic Surgeon recommend that I give SAS shoes a try. I am a younger guy so I thought these shoes were for old guys. I wanted to hate the shoes, but they fit great. The shoes allow me to walk much farther. I am walking up to 1/4 mile at a time. By the way, my right knee is only 2 months old. The left knee is about 8 months old. The shoes help with my endurance and recovery of my ligaments that are stretched out in my ankle. I will definitely be ordering more here in the near future.

I have been wearing SAS walking shoes for years now and have never had a more comfortable shoe. The ones I just purchased are the most unique looking. Well worth the price.

I walk a couple of miles a day and these shoes are great.

Use them for walking and around the town. Great fit and comfortable.
