Great Born boots. These are just like the Born Cross boot except for the different style tie and tassels. The picture makes them look a bit narrow. They are not. I like a wide toebox and these are good and will be even better after I wear them a bit more. Some Born I take an 8. This boot, 7 1/2 fit perfect. As usual, Zappos is the best place to buy from!

I wanted to keep these SOOOO BADLY. However, the arch support didn’t even touch my foot, cuz high arches. And the support for the ball of your foot wasn’t enough for standing for a longer time. So I’m returning. They are adorable though!!

This was a first....the boot was so narrow, could barely get on with a nice zipper. So tight...never had that happen before...definitely disappointed to return.

I love these boots! They have a nice cut in the toe (not too tight) and are very comfortable for long periods of time. I purchased a brown pair 2 years ago in size 7. They were a little tight and uncomfortable at first. I wanted a black pair but decided to wait as I wondered if I should go up 1/2 a size. I'm glad that I didn't. They stretch out. I wouldn't want them any larger. Don't go up a size. I just purchased a black pair in a size 7. Yes, a little uncomfortable right now. I'm wearing them for short periods of time with thin socks for now. I know they will fit pefectly in a few months and I'll be able to wear thicker socks in the winter when I need to.

I love these boots. They work well with long skirts and pants. The fit is awesome and they are so comfortable.

The boots didn't match. The left boot was as expected, but on the right boot, the arch was wider and the toe box had a somewhat different shape. I assume this was a manufacturing issue. I ordered a replacement pair, which were fine.

Wide toe box makes this boot ready to wear-no break in! Great over jeans, with jeans tucked in, also leggings with a skirt. Quick shipping!

These boots were heavy and clunky. Not what I expected. More like heavy winter boots or any outdoor work. And the color is NOT gray. Closer to a brown color. Returning them.

Love the boots!! Fits great!! I have always had problems finding shoes or anything that goes on your feet fit properly, and every item that I have purchased from Zappos has fit wonderfully. I call my feet: short and fat LOL

A beautiful boot! The color is a great gray/brown. I have a wider foot and the toe box was very comfortable. These boots are made well, very attractive and comfortable. Very pleased.

very comfortable. cushioned bottom of foot. non slip sole. slightly tight for width. low score for zappos - sent me the wrong color with no explanation, ordered gray and got brown. not sure if mistake or out of gray. no paper came with boots

I had to add an arch support footbed....they had minimal arch support,,,,so I slid some 1/2 length support in, which made the boot tight by the end of the day.

After years of buying Born shoes and boots, these were a disappointment. They're more narrow in the toe box and stiff, the first pair of Borns where I didn't say "ah" after getting them on, which was a bit of a fight. And the left shoe was oddly different in look and fit than the right. Baggy around the ankle, and scuffed. Also tight. These are a miss and definitely not worth the money. I hope the quality is not typical of Borns these days, since this is the first pair I've purchased since 2014, and I dearly love and still wear those boots, but they've developed the dreaded "sole squeak" when walking (not bad for 7 years of consistent wear).

Absolutely pleased with these booties! They are super comfortable and very cute! They fit very true to size and love the little tassel that just adds a fun detail!

I had a hard time finding ankle boots that fit. Purchased from a home shopping site and the boots were up against my outside ankle and stuck out 3-1/2" on the inside ankle. These were my 4th purchase and are a perfect fit.

I have and love Born Cross boots. So when I read the featured review that said these were basically the same, I ordered the Taupe Distressed in the same size, 9.5 and expected another pair with slightly different fringe. Well, they just came, and they're not the same size: they're a bit narrower, just enough so I don't think I can fit sox on with them, which I really prefer. With the Cross, I've always worn light sox -- they've been my go to winter boots for a couple years. I may keep these Taupe ones (not the orangey brown that the photo shows but a real Taupe . . . ??) but I won't be able to wear sox. Almost the same shape and fit, but just not quite (I'm accounting for stretching when I write this). Very attractive, plenty of room in the toe box, but the mid shoe part seems narrower to me. I'm pretty sure my feet are the same as a couple years ago. . . So, hope this helps. Great boots, as the Born boots have almost always been on my medium to narrow feet of different sizes!
