The foot size was perfect however the circumference of the shaft by my calf was way too large. My legs looked like chicken legs in these boots. The leather and style are beautiful though. I'm sad to have to return them.

The boots are lovely... nice leather, perfect heel height and calf width, etc. Exactly what I was looking for, but they didn't fit at all. I could barely get my foot into them. They are just very narrow for a "M" shoe. Not sure about the sizing otherwise, because I was squeezed in, but they also seemed small for an 8.5. For the right person, these could be fantastic.

Fit on foot was fabulous but calf is extremeLy wide and I have athletic calves so I truly think they should be advertised as wide calf! Otherwise gorgeous comfy boots

This is the first and only Born that was not wide enough. The boot is really well made and stylish and i wanted to love it, alas way too narrow.

These boots are comfortable and buttery-soft. However the calf circumference is HUGE. Wish I had paid more attention to other reviews. Thinking maybe I could go 1/2 size smaller, but I fear it won’t be enough in the width. Such a shame.

I purchased these boots specifically because they were supposed to be wide calf. They are NOT! Generally I can count on boots fitting when they are marketed as wide calf, but these were not. I was disappointed, because I love the look of them. I knew as soon as I took them out of the box that the were not wide calf.

The calf was way too wide for a boot that is supposed to be for a slim/narrow calf. The boots came in an unmarked, basic cardboard box that was much larger than it needed to be and didn't contain enough packing material to protect the boots. They looked like they had been worn or something. Rub marks all over them. Very disappointed in this product!

The boots were packaged in only a plastic bag that was in the larger cardboard mailing box, which I thought was odd. It seemed they had been tried on by someone else and the zipper was stuck in the middle and pulled away from the leather so the boots were totally worthless!!! It’s a shame because they were beautiful boots.

These boots were wonderful, except the top part was way too wide.

I have had these boots less than a month. Worn 5 times or so. One of the zippers keeps getting stuck. Poor quality zipper. Hope it’s just this pair because otherwise they are stylish and comfortable.

These are not like the old BOC product (which Loved). Box said 8.5m, boots were 9.0m. Everyone stated that the fabric lining in the calf area makes your socks ride down, this is ABSOLUTELY correct. Whom ever designed these boots got it wrong. We don't want lining in the calf area, just give us the leather.

Zipper was broken when I got them.

Disappointed. These boots have a wide calf fit. Unclear from photo just how wide these boots are at the top. Sending them back as I was looking for a slimmer fit. The 7-1/2 was a good shoe fit and the boots were attractive and well made but just too big at the top. And I did not order the wide calf version, at least that is not what the box indicated. I cannot even guess how big the wide calf version is of this boot.
