Bought this pair specifically for it's ability to fit AFOs/adaptive design. My son has been wearing AFOs since 2 yrs old (now 6 yrs. old, shoe size with AFO is 3.5 W to WW) and getting his braces and shoes on in the morning is very time consuming. I was hoping these would work so he can start zipping up his own shoes, unfortunately, these are way too narrow to fit AFOs. If we forced the zipper, we were able to zip but hit was super tight and it hurt. Even with the insoles pulled out, the shoe didn't have enough depth to fit an AFO. Overall too narrow and too short and was returned. But if wearing for regular wear, it would work for others, as the materials were well made and light.
