Just following up on my Review from earlier today: want to SHARE some info I got from HALSA. In my review: I said that I was having trouble finding out what the Triangle Shaped things were on the Outer Sole. Well......I left a Voice Mail at Halsa Footwear and a really nice Field & Sales Rep called me back WITHIN 2 hours!! He gave me tons of info about shoe construction, what the outer sole was made of, info about the suede lining & Microban etc. ANSWER: The Triangle shaped pods are for Traction. They are ever so slightly higher than sole. I asked about their Winter Models and which ones would be good for my "hard to fit feet". In the Fall: I will keep an eye out for a Clog from Halsa. I hope this helps other Zappos Review Readers :)

I may not be the best person to critique these sandals. For a normal person (with normal feet), I'm guessing these would be a 5-star, all around. But my feet are pitiful . . . atrophied fat pads (necessitating LOTS of padding to make up for what's no longer a part of my anatomy), bunions, a couple of arthritic toes, etc. (Whaaah! Whaah! Whaah!!). But even given my "flippers feet," I can wear these sandals!! Thank the Good Lord for Zappos and their free shipping and returns, because it takes me several tries to find something that works. SO! Beyond my whining, I have to say that the adjustable velcro crossover straps are great! They make for a customized fit for anyone's feet. The footbed is padded more than most (quite naturally, I still had to add a bit more), and that contributes to hours of comfortable wear, as well. Super comfortable for the normal foot, I'm certain . . . and hope for those will tootsie issues. I'll be focusing on this brand in the future; it's one of the most comfortable one I've found. Note: these run a good 1/2 size large, so order down.

This is a new brand for me and the second pair within a week. So comfortable and great support! The only reason I gave four stars is because after wearing them for a few hours I had two sore places from where the leather rubbed my toe and ankle. But this could be due to my imperfect feet and, I hope, with some adjustment of the straps, that will help. I normally prefer fewer straps since my feet are so long, but these do help keep the shoes firmly in place. I will definitely be buying more of this brand in the future.

These sandals were comfortable right out of the box. Nice, soft leather and look very stylish. I hope to buy more pairs when other colors come back in stock. I might add that I have a very difficult time finding shoes with the right amount of arch support and stability, and these fit the bill.

My wife loves her Damaris sandals. They fit comfortably and are attractive. After telling the salesman her size and width needed, the sandals fit perfectly.

shoes are comfortable, beautiful. Unfortunately I have problem with metatarsal arthritis and one of the straps hurts. Will keep looking. I love Hals and Finn Comfort shoes.

Excellent fit and size. Very comfortable and very light. Because I just had foot surgery, I appreciate very much the fact that it is adjustable. Also there is an elegance about it . Love it!!!

I like this shoe. Straps are long enough. Seems to give decent support for a sandal.

Comfortable and the wide fit as expected. Love having several fasteners to conform to feet.

Although these looked like they might be good for my troubled feet, they just didn't work out. The straps were in a position that made them very uncomfortable over my swollen ankles, the soles could have used a bit more padding, and the materials used looked rather cheap, even though they were marked as having leather uppers. A new brand to me, I'd certainly try another style in the future.

A very nice shoe and well-made. Unfortunately I had to return them due to my bunion.

Sorry to say.....I will be returning these REALLY nice Adjustable sandals. Great to have 4 adjustable straps! But, when I tried on Once Again at end of the day (when feet were tired & a little warm) - Found that I need MORE support. I seem to sink down and there just isn't enough support. I kept doubting myself as the Sandal has a NICE firm outersole. It does NOT flex too much (which is GOOD for my Morton's Neuroma) But.....when your foot does NOT feel right...well then it is time to keep looking. In the Winter: I will try their closed toe shoe (that isn't a Wedge Heel) with a different outersole. Such as nice sandal: so disappointed!

Glad that I could get my size 8 in Black. Having such "Hard To Fit Feet" I wanted the Black with Black sole to wear in Winter (so I could wear with a dress). I still DO NOT KNOW what the "Triangle Pods" on the outer Sole do OR if they will bother me when I walk a lot. I have ALREADY checked the Halsa Footwear web site (the US version in English). I just left a Voicemail and I hope I will get an answer soon!! The REASON I want to know what the "triangle shape" rubber does is that I have Morton's Neuroma. I try and make sure I am buying a firmer sole that my Podiatrist wants me to select. These Halsa sandals have GREAT adjustable straps. They are wide enough for my wide toes but are also FINE for my narrow heel. Try them!!

First time that I ordered a Halsa shoe. I prefer this sandal over another Halsa style because I don't do well with a SNUG strap over the tendon on top of my foot. I ordered 2 sizes and will soon TRY both on AGAIN to figure out where I line up best with arch. I tried looking BUT still do not know what the several triangle pads are for on the outer sole. These have SO many good features that my feet need: 3 adjustable straps; arch support, a rubber sole that is BOTH cushiony AND firm. Plus they look nice too! Try them! P.S. I only discovered this brand from a shoe blog I sometimes read. Their Winter shoes look like they might work for me TOO!!
