One shoe had what felt like the head of a large screw between the liner and the sole. It also appeared that these slippers had been returned for that same reason and put back in stock to be shipped out to the next customer-me.

They recommend next size up for half size. Not thrilled with product but giving it a worthy try. They seem narrow and the up size a bit too much. Wouldn't recommend them.

The one major issue I have with these slippers is that the laces will not stay tied, given the very long length of the laces they present a real trip danger, especially for an older person. I have stepped on an untied lace more than once but luckily I was not injured. A simple remedy would be to change the material of the lace to a fabric which will stay tied, the rawhide used is horrible. I would not purchase these for an older person.

First pair I bought was my normal size and was too big. Returned for size smaller since they don't have half sizes. Left slipper is fine. Right slipper is tight, so tight that sores developed between my toes from irritation. I will be getting rid of them.

I thought they had a leather bottom, it is rubber which is better longer lasting but I thought I read leather. They seam to be made with quality, but I wear a 13 wide, they seem tight on my feet. I figured they need some breaking in, well they are feeling better but the last pair (not the same model) were comfortable from day one. I think it is too late to send them back so I guess I am stuck with them.

Had two pair of these slippers previously but the sizing no longer fits. Ordered online and returned to the store. While there I tried on three other pairs none fit like my previous ones. One note from previous pairs; the back of the heel area should be lined with leather as the flannel lining wears out there.

My wife has purchased a pair of these for me for Christmas for the last 10 years. The cushioned bottom was always very comfortable and soft, justifying the price. The pair received this year has virtually no cushion for the bottom of the foot. Very disappointed. I may asked her to look elsewhere next year.

Not as pleased with these slippers as I was expecting. The rubber sole is stiff and not very flexible, and the leather uppers are not soft and supple (they are actually uncomfortable where they rub my ankle bone.) The leather laces are stiff and slick and do not tie well. The old moosehide moc slippers (which Bean no longer offers) are soft like butter and the gum-rubber sole is flexible. The flannel lining in these handsewns are good though.

Very disappointed - the laces on the right shoe keep untying - very annoying.

I bought these two months ago and they're already wearing out in the heel. I'm so disappointed because I love everything else about them: the style, the quality of the leather, the comfort, etc.. But at this rate, the insides will be shredded in six months. It's a tragedy that an otherwise great design is completely ruined by a something as easily fixable as a flimsy lining.

Very hard. Last two pair were leather. This was a very hard, hard suede.
Unhappy cutomer this time.

I purchased these about three years ago and only wear them indoors as house slippers. The only time they have been worn outside is to occasionally go to the mailbox. The good news is that the leather uppers and the sole are wearing great. The bad news is that the flannel linings are completely worn through at the heel and ball of the foot. I suggest getting the ones with a leather lining and insole for more durability. I should have bought the better ones.

The moccasins themselves are fine, but the laces are a real problem. The laces are cut very short when manufactured so they can not be tied tight because they are too short. Also, it is virtually impossible to double knot them to prevent them from coming undone.. The laces always come un-tied constantly needing to be retied.

I have a pair that were given to me for Christmas. I asked for them because I thought the rubber sole would be safer on stairs - and they are! I also like the concept of the flannel lining. However, the flannel and padding wore through within a couple months and the rubber sole started to come unstitched. The leather remains quite nice. I still wear them, but wouldn't buy them again for fear of durability issues. I would have returned them, but at the time was living outside of Maine and it wasn't convenient. BTW, I have also had the moose hide slippers. I've been wearing those since 1985. The first pair lasted 1985 till about 2010 - amazing! The second pair wore through the leather sole in a couple months. Bean replaced them and the third pair have been doing well since. I had hoped these flannel lined, rubber soled slippers would be just as good. Alas.

These slippers look great but don't last. The leather is wonderful. The lining and padding in bottom wear out within months. The soles, which are sewn on, are coming loose
(less than a year old.) I expect a pair of slippers to last a bit longer than 6 months. I feel, the quality at ll bean has gone down. I used to expect what I bought here would be well made. Not true lately.

Well made, true to size. However, I had to return them. Excessive friction on my ankle and instep caused blisters. Problematic for a diabetic.

Unfortunately the seam by the tongue of the shoe is bothersome and rubs and irritates slightly. Needs flannel all the way up sown on underside of tongue

My normal shoe size is 9.5 to 10. I ordered a size 10 which I couldn't even squeeze into. I returned them for size 11 which fell off my feet.

This is my third pair of your flannel-lined slippers. While the other two were wonderful and lasted for years, this pair is not living up to its predecessors. I've had them for three months. The lining is already wearing, the lace on one slipper will not stay tied, but the most aggravating problem is that they SQUEAK loudly! I can't tell what part of the slippers squeak, but it's a problem with both slippers. I can be heard throughout the house.

These slippers tend to rub against the outside of my ankles. I find them uncomfortable to wear. I shall return them. This may not be an issue for everyone.

Sizing way small. I normally wear a 14med. These have Moccasin-style uppers stitched to a rigid and narrow inflexible polymer sole in a way that succeeds in preventing the Moccasin uppers from accommodating your natural foot shape. Otherwise would have been nice.

The uppers on these slippers are great, however, the soles started wearing holes after 18 months. I only wear these inside the house. My next slippers will be leather soles! Don't buy if your looking for a long-lasting slipper.

Misrepresented as a D width, they are loose in the heel and tight in the toe box. I have narrow feet and these fit tight even though I ordered a half size larger than my shoe size. Disappointed.
