My husband really likes his slippers. He wears a 10 1/2 and went to a size 11. They are comfortable without being too warm.
They only problem is that they will not stay tied. He has tried different knots to no avail. They always seem to be untied. Otherwise, happy with the purchase.

I have two pair of the top of the line Double Sole, leather lined, hand sewn mocs which are still servicable except for holes through first and in places second layers. A few trips outside plus inside wear all my waking hours took their toll on outer soles. My last slipper purchase was same shoe, with lightweight rubber sole which has served me well, and flannel lining which has been wearing out over past year. I have gotten two years service from them, and bought them for less than $50, so no complaint. I am waiting for backordered replacement, elkhide slippers, with same light 'rubber' outsoles and full leather lining, hoping they fit feet as well as $104 model. Would like to see top of the line slippers with lightweight out-side sole as mentioned above. Retired UPS package car driver. Once was known as "Full Dress Bean" due to your product line and my dressing habits. Due to back injuries; years of shirts, chinos are seldom used. Still a "Beaner."

The fit is excellent and true to size but the heal wears too quickly. Possibly some reinforcement in that area would allow these slippers to last longer. Overall, they are really nice and comfortable when they are new but I'm a little disappointed they didn't last longer.

I agree with most of the reviewers, I've always liked this LL Bean mocassin slipper. I returned the original pair because the fabric interior wore out after several months of wear. LLBean graciously exchanged the slippers for a new pair (Thank You!); however the second pair's fabric interior by the heel still wears out after a few month's use. Bean needs to put an insert by the heel to prevent this. The only other issue I have is with the rawhide laces. They're thick and come undone frequently. Not good for seniors wearing the slippers. (A tripping accident waiting to happen.) Bean has a method of tying these where they won't come undone, but that just results in a very large and ugly bow knot. I've purchased other Bean slippers which are good; not quite as stylish as these, but I won't be purchasing any more of this style -- sadly.

a very comfortable slipper. The beacon time was very short (3-4)days.the width may be too large since I have a very narrow foot and find it difficult in finding any foot ware that properly fits my size and width.nice looking and well made.

These slippers are similar to the moose hide slippers that I really liked. They are comfortable, functional and appear to be well made. However, the size chart was wrong!
I wear a size 12 (European 46) shoe. Given the variability in sizing, I usually have better luck ordering by the European size. The size chart shows the 12 as a European 47. Given that information and the size of the moose hide slippers, I ordered a 12. However, the 12 was decidedly small and I exchanged it for a 13.

Although these slippers were very well made and good-looking, they were too tight to be comfortable over my husband's bunions. For that reason, I returned them and am giving them four stars, but would certainly recommend them for anyone who doesn't have foot problems.

I have bought several pairs of these slippers for my husband. He really likes them. The shoes never wear out, but the flannel lining does not hold up. Too bad you can't put in a better lining to last at least as long as the slipper. I would recommend them to a friend, but warn them about the lining.
Note: I have to select an "item" above before it will let me post this. It has blanks after the bubbles. I have no idea what I'm selecting.

Gave to my husband about 3-4 years ago. All in all they are a good slipper especially since they are flannel lined instead of furry.
The problem---the darn leather shoelaces. They do not stay tied. Potential tripping became a concern so they will be Gorilla glued in the knot and in place.

The slippers are very nice. However, the lining is wearing out in the heel after only 3 months.

I recd these for Christmas last year. I have worn them every day. They are incredibly comfortable and nice looking. Only issue is the lining is wearing out. Not just a little, a LOT.

Overall a great slipper EXCEPT that the flannel lining quickly splits at the heel. I have purchased several of these for family members over the past couple of years. All report same problem. So sorry to see this in an LLBean product.

OK, so I wear out a pair of slippers every year, and I start to look for the best choice near the holidays when many are available. In the past, I have found the L.L. Bean slippers to be a bit narrow and too snug even when ordering up the next whole size. This time was different, and I was able to find comfort in my latest choice. As usual, the quality is there, and of course the utility is in the product. I may have to keep this pair for more than one year, and that's saying something about the rest of the industry that offers slippers to us older curmudgeons out there, just puttering around the house, the yard and the garage!

The slippers seem to be well constructed. The stitching is tight, the sole feels durable, and the leather feels of good quality. The only thing holding back a 5 star rating is the fit. I generally wear a 12 or 13 and my foot is of normal width. So, I erred on the side of caution and got these in a size 12. The fit is a bit narrow and there is a decent bit of extra room in the toe box. That combination of fitment makes me not want to exchange for an 11, which would likely be the right length but even narrower than the already narrow 12.

I love the soles and the fit of these slippers. I have high arches and wear a 3E. They are snug in the forefoot, but stretch a little over time. The only real critique I have of them is the decorative rawhide lace bow on each continually unties itself. I'm a sailor, so I know quite a few knots. None work well enough to keep them tied more than a few hours around the house. I finally sewed the bow.

I haven't been able to wear the slippers to any extent, the weather has been so nice that flip flops have been the norm for now. When I first put the slippers on it felt a little tight and the wear in period has not taken place yet. The build quality and look is superior and would recommend to others.

I really like these slippers. I'm currently on my 3rd pair.
However, I do have two complaints. The leather laces do not stay tied, and the flannel lining wears out in a couple of months which makes the slippers look shabby. Otherwise the durability is very good.

I loved these slippers but size 10 was too short and size 11 too long. If uncle LL would just make half sizes it would be perfect.

Fit and finish is very good, may be too warm to use all year round, but for winter they are very comfortable!!

I have a pair of these slippers and really like them so I ordered a new pair as mine are showing wear. I ordered same size as current pair only find them to be a lot larger than current ones. Disappointed and had to send back. Did not reorder a smaller size as did not want to get into situation of having to send back if too small.

This is my second pair purchased and just like the first pair they are extremely well made. The leather and stitching held up well. The soles however wore down and began sticking to carpets and leaving marks on tiles. This did not hamper me from purchasing a new pair. The only negative on the new pair is the leather is a lot stiffer and will require a break in period. However, I would still recommend these mocs to anyone looking for a high quality shoe.

Depending on the product production, especially shoes and slippers, all lasts are not created equal. I typically wear a 10M in a shoe and slipper. Recently with the Bean slipper in a 10M I tend to almost walk out of them as the heal is too loose. The 9M is too tight. The ideal would be to add 1/2 sizes to the most normal sizes.
