Bought a new pair as my previous pair are a few years old and the lining is wearing out. These fit a little snug for the same size. If I was in store and tried them on I probably would have sized up.

The slippers look great. I found them to be too tight in the length and width but after wearing they have gotten better. Would recommend from my experience to buy a size up.

These slippers replace ones from somewhere else that wore out. I'm very pleased with them, but wish they were a bit wider.

I ended up returning the slippers because they were too narrow for me. I am reliable a 10-D size shoe, but these were just too narrow for me. Otherwise, the slippers seemed well made. Had they been wider I would have kept them. The return process with LL Bean was easy and flawless, and that gave me confidence in being a customer.

I like every thing about the slipprs except the leather laces that continually come untied.

Love the shoes but you can't keep the leather shoe strings tied!

I normally wear a woman's 9 or 9.5W. The men's 7 fit very well because it's very wide. I loved these slippers, but by the second winter the flannel had worn through in several places. By the third winter, the stitching holding the leather together had failed. I thought they would last longer for the price.

Pros: These seem like they will be awesome- very good quality and nice padding in the sole. Cons: I wear a size 12 shoe, and these slippers seem to be about a half size too long, as the heel slips in the back. The slippers are a little too narrow for my wider foot, but i'm sure they'll stretch as I wear them, just as my Sperry's did- which is another reason I think they're a little too large. Another note (which didn't impact my rating) is the shipping packaging: it was a shipping bag without damage but the box itself was torn and mangled, but the slippers were not damaged.

Very satisfied with these after wearing them around the house for 6+ months a year. They lasted 3.5 years before wearing a hole in the flannel lining.

My son in law wears a 9.5 so I ordered a 10. They were way too big. I have sent them back . I did order a 9 for him and a size 11 for my son. I was disappointed that I had to pay to ship the return.

This is a beautiful slipper but it's very narrow. Got a pair as a gift for my husband, and although he does have wide feet, last year he was able to fit into another pair of LL Bean slippers in his usual size. We had to return these. Most of the LL Bean mens' slippers appear extremely narrow - bummer.

Ordered for Christmas for husband. He wears a sz 8 - 81/2 in shoes or boots. The quality of the shoe is excellent in craftsmanship and style, but runs long. They may fit with a pair of socks but he never wears socks with this style of shoe. Going to order a sz 7 and hope it's not too short.

I'll echo what others have said. These slippers look good, feel good, and are built to last FOREVER except for the flannel lining, which is built to last maybe six months. I wear mine ALL THE TIME and frequently outdoors, and after 10 years (YEARS!) they're nearly good as new original laces, leather uppers perfect, sole barely worn. I mean seriously. Built like tanks. But the flannel lining, not so much. It was wearing through within months and has long been mostly gone, which means the insides are not as comfortable (or nice looking) as they once were. And I have very dry feet. I wear them anyway because they're so handy and rugged, but yeah, the lining is definitely a (very) weak point.

I had to order a size too long in order to get my wide feet into them. The older pair I have been wearing for 5-8 years was just right, but these are made for people with stick feet. Other than the narrowness, I really like them. Comfortable and not too hot,

Overall, a nice slipper. I would give it five stars except for one annoyance! The leather laces keep coming untied. I have to retie them several times while wearing. Other moccasin type slippers that I had never came untied.

On my third pair now - just keep wearing them out. Two main issues that would make them perfect - more durability on the liner and the biggest thing that would make a difference - stitch the laces to stay tied permanently. They really do nothing to alter the size and are just a nuisance since they continuously come untied. Do that and it's a home run.

I don't like the flannel lining. I wish I had purchased the ones without it, but they do cost a lot more.

These slippers are by far the best I have ever owned. They fit is great and they break in nicely. They're able to go in the driveway without any issues. However, I've seen many reviews that the flannel lining wears away quickly which I assume will happen. I hope L.L. Bean addresses this. If so, they'll have the best slipper out there hands down. I would still highly recommend buying!

I'm happy with the purchase. Great lining with a decent molded sole (if you stay off coarse gravel). But there are issues if you have a wide foot... Sadly slipper mfrs don't think people with wide feet want wide slippers. So I bought 1 size longer to gain a little width which helped. Still a little too narrow but my boot stretcher will customize the rest. This width issue is not unique: wide slippers are a rare offering. So I would recommend this to a friend that has a "standard" foot, but someone with a wide foot not accustomed to customizing the fit may be disappointed.

The very well made slipper is comfortable and sturdy. Great aruond the house or for stepping outside to get the morning paper. Like most slippers it is not possible to pull the rawhide lace tight to get a tighter fit. Overall, they are well worth the cost and should last a long time.
