Pretty stiff - my granddaughter does not like them.

My son loves these boots and is devastated that we are sending them back and buying new ones elsewhere. The clear plastic coating started peeling off after just a few months. I expect WAY more, LL Bean!

I love LL Bean rain boots, and my toddler was very excited to get the same boots as her big sister. However, when I unpacked them, I was shocked to see just how narrow the heel really was. I read about the heel in other reviews, however, it was much narrower than that on her big sister's boots. Clearly, this is not functional or safe for a toddler. So disappointed in the design, and equally disappointed that I had to spend $7 to ship them, and $6.50 to return them. These are otherwise great boots. Hope LL Bean revises this design flaw.

Between my 2 boys, we have owned a few pairs of these and each time we have had to mail them in for an exchange because of some issue. These last two pairs were major peeling and cracking (causing water to leak in). I'm done dealing with the exchange process because each time I always end up paying extra to get new boots it seems! Time to find a new brand

I got these in a size 5 for my 1 1/2 year old. We live on a farm, so boots are a must! I wanted good quality shoes for her. They are great quality, and the sizing seems correct. BUT the heel is SO high!! By the time she could actually walk in them without falling every 2 seconds, she only wore them maybe 3 times! Very frustrating.. I would return them in a heartbeat, but she wore them in our barn. So maybe the heel wont bother older kids, but for the ages these are for, I wouldnt get them again unless there was no heel.

Had these a few months and both ended up with holes where the rubber flexes about halfway up. Very disappointed with the thickness of the rubber. Expected more for almost $50!

Disappointed. I have tried 2 different sizes. These are not for wide toddler feet.

This was impossible to get on my 2 year old. The size was plenty big, but the angle made it impossible to get my son's foot all the way in. We tried everything. Also, the heel really is high - I checked in with customer service prior to ordering and they assured me it was short. It's not. Good news is LL BEAN was very prompt and helpful with my return. I would love to see an ankle height rain boot.
