I wanted slippers to keep my feet and ankles warm, and room to insert a lift in one. The description didn't mention the spongy thick cushioning of the sole which gives no support what so ever. My foot sloshes around in these and it's causing foot and knee pain. First I tried adding thin liners, then I removed the thick cushion that is sticky-backed underneath a fleecy insert. This makes them much to big for me. A smaller size might work with the cushion removed and if I added an arch support liner. I'm an 8-1/2, and these are a 9. The slippers themselves are well made and I wanted to love them. Since the sole is the same material as the sides, it shows dirt even though only worn briefly in the house. This likely means I can't exchange them for a smaller size. Long ago I had a pair of Dearfoam slippers that I loved. I bought a pair of Dearfoam's months ago at WalMart, moccasin-style, and they had the same too-cushiony sole, and also not in half sizes. Very pricey for the fit in general, at least for my needs.

These are flinsy and hard to get a foot in. Like a thick expensive sock. I bought three pair of these, to his gifts and one for me. I will still give my gifts because they are for elderly relatives. They will love them and they have smaller feet than I do. But for me I will be returning them because I wear mine around the house all day as I work and they have no support and I am up and down from my computer. I think they are way over priced for what they are. UGG it would be just as warm and have a better support so I think I will try them
