Love the Arizona Soft Footbed, this was my first time buying the suede upper. In case anyone else is having trouble deciding between colors, here is a side by side pic of the (From left to right) Faded Khaki (green undertone), Stone Coin (gray undertone) and Taupe (Unisex)

I have worn Birks for well over 30 years now. For me, I always size down one. As I wear these WITHOUT socks. They stretch but also you want the Birk to hug around your foot. Not be loose. So for ref I am a 7.5 to 8 depending on the shoe and buy the 38. Narrow. As you can see in my pics, it is secure about my foot. Of course you don’t want toe overhang. So if you are unsure or your size buy two sizes. You will get a better idea of which one you need. If you plan to skirt the realms of style and sport socks with these, make sure you size accordingly. Again. Maybe get two sizes so you can try the socks out. Your foot should be secure and not sliding around either. The soft bed is such a welcome treat for my feet. Feels almost instantly broken in. Feels like velvet agst your feet too. I got the Lavender Blush color. It is gorgeous and I am obsessed. Def going into heavy rotation!

These were my FAVORITE Birkenstocks ever! The lavender blush is pretty - not too bright, kind of pinkish. The straps were nice and soft. BUT the narrow width is TOO narrow for my feet. I could adjust the straps, but the cork edges were harsh on my skin on the sides of my feet. I don't care what some reviewers said - the narrow fit is narrow. I even tried buying the next size up. They were, of course, too long but I'd be willing to live with that, but the base was still too narrow. In the end I returned and bought the "unisex" ones in taupe which are very comfy. But I wanted "pretty ones". I implore Birkenstock to make the pretty colors in a REGULAR fit.

As a long time Birkenstock wearer I am more than a little irritated by their new belief that women's sizes should only come in narrow. Not to mention the endlessly unnecessary "soft" footbeds. I ordered these in my usual Birk size and they were BOTH too narrow and too short (!). Also: the thin, floppy suede straps had no structure at all and could be expected to stretch out ASAP. What gives? Apparently their original customer base- people with wider feet and people who were fine with the old normal- mean nothing to them anymore. Well there is such a thing as brand equity, and they are throwing it away in pursuit of a fast fashionista dollar, a fickle pursuit that will abandon them at will. I can no longer recommend the brand as quality, size consistency, and customer consideration have tanked. Boo!

These are comfortable out of the box, and the stone coin color morphs between a taupey brown and gray, so it goes with anything. I'm usually a 7.5-8 and I can wear a narrow but don't usually need it. The 38 narrow fits fine. These are replacing a VERY OLD pair of Arizonas, and the soft footbed is a noticable difference. Comfy!

Perfect fit just like my other Arizona soft footbed Birkenstock’s. I like the narrower width for me and I find the suede needs less “break in” time than traditional leather Birk’s. The lavender blush is a really pretty neutral shade and a softer look than just beige or tan. Can’t wait to wear them this spring and summer.

This is my second pair of Birkenstocks (well, actually my third if you count my Arizona EVAs). My first leather pair is a pair of Milanos from 27 years ago, and I thought I would like to have pair of Arizonas as well. These are true to size for me, and I bought the Stone Coin suede color -- it did not need any break in time at all. You can't go wrong with Birkenstocks.

This is my second pair of Birkenstock Soft Footbed Arizonas. I wear one pair in the house and one pair out. I have years of metatarsalgia with unresolved foot pain and this is the only shoe I can find to wear without my massive orthotics which actually feel good on my feet all day long! I am sold :)

I normally do NOT wear narrow shoes, but ordered these after reading a review which stated they aren't a particularly narrow fit. I'm glad I did! I am always a size 10 medium and these fit perfectly. The green is very vivid (a great match to our school colors) and suede is soft. LOVE ME SOME BIRKENSTOCKS! Note: the photo is not an accurate depiction of the size due to the way my foot is resting on the ottoman. When standing, my toes fit right where they are supposed to be. Also, please excuse the horrible pedicure (it's been a long winter). :)

This is my first pair of birks. I’ve wanted them for awhile, but have been hesitant because of the price. I tried them on in a store to find the right size and fell in love. I was so happy to see Zappos had them because I had a gift card here! I have had them for a week and love everything about them! I am breaking them in, but it’s not as bad as some reviews made it sound. In fact I’ve worn them for over 5 hours every day- no blisters or red marks. Not bad at all. I got the narrow, fits totally fine! Would recommend spraying a leather water protector over them.

Love the bright green sole and suede combination! The soft footbed isn’t as soft as older pairs of birks, but they’re still great!

Who doesn’t love Birkenstocks? These are my go to house shoe, legging shoe, jeans shoe, everything goes. They come in and out of style but I’m forever a loyal customer.

They are perfect. I have arthritis in my large toe and these enable me to walk pain free. They fit like they have for the past 30 years. Size 39 narrow is my size. It feels so natural.

So I listened to many reviews that said to go down half a size, as well as to one review that said unless your feet are abnormally wide go for the narrow. Wrong on both counts, as I now have to return them. Stick to your size, and unless your feet are truly narrow, don't choose that option. Also, you can't tell from the photos, but the Khaki is really close to an olive green. It's beautiful, but sadly they don't have it in the next size up. I will be reordering in the regular width in my regular size, just have to find another color. I've had Birkenstocks before, tired of wearing flip-flops all the time, getting myself another pair.

Love my birkenstocks

This is my second pair of Birks. I live them and expect to live in them until they fall of my feet. The fit is perfect! If I have any complaint at all - it would be about the light colored footbed. How does one keep them clean? I would have preferred darker color.

Comfy and true to size ! I am a size 37 euro Us size 7 . I love the Arizona style so much and the blush pink are adorable!!

I love the color of the lavender blush. These are my first pair of Birkenstock shoes. I have narrow feet so I always thought I couldn’t wear Birks. But the narrow width worked great. They are super comfortable and the soft footbed makes a big difference!

I had a pair of Arizona soft bed a while ago and wanted an updated version with a more “modern” vibe. The trendy colors and big buckles were all NOT soft bed and I didn’t want to suffer through a break in periods. Unfortunately, it seems the nice styles are also mainly available in narrow sizes, not regular. I have wide feet and I love the regular fit. So after all that debating, I ordered my usual size 38 and just in case, the 39. The red color is more like a rusty rose, and I like it a lot. Well, it seems the 39 works out better. The width is definitely better for my wide feet, and the length is a bit longer, which it works out better since I hate when the tip of my toes hit the bridge of the sandals, and with the bigger size that doesn’t happen. I wish Birkenstock’s would offer the brand new sandals with those wonderful colors and big buckles in a soft foot bed and “regular” width. For the love of wide feet people!!!!

not narrow enough

I bought these Birkenstock’s in the lavender blush color a size too big because I loved the color and it was the only one available close to what I wear. I would’ve kept them and made them work, but I will be returning. Whoever checked the shoes before shipping them failed to notice that they had obviously been worn by someone else, having very clear foot imprints on the inside soles. Really disappointed to have to send these back, but they are just too expensive to be sent a used pair!
