I have ankle problems and these shoes provide the best support I have found.

I use these for hiking and rotate them with a pair of Topo Ultraventure 3s. These are just a little stiffer than the Ultraventure 3's and just as comfortable. In fact they are probably a little better for uneven and rocky terrain, tree roots and less even surfaces. I love the material on the shoes- very breathable and quick to dry and the soles are very grippy. I prefer these to the Ultraventure Pros which were very hard and uncomfortable for me. Overall a great shoe.

I wore these for my trek on the Long Trail in Vermont last year and some challenging hikes in the white mountains of New Hampshire. They eliminated all of my complaints from other shoes and boots and finally made my feet happy. They kept my feet from getting water logged, reduced my blisters, eliminated my slipping, much more tactical and better performance in technical climbs, padded enough and the rock plate is everything. Stands up to my high weight and pack weight too!

Super happy with these shoes. I have nerve issues in my feet and need hiking footwear that has a wide toe box and is relatively soft underfoot. Usually that means shoes that fall apart really quickly, but these held up over 175 miles and two weeks of hiking on the AT, and appear to still have plenty of life left in them. The Vibram sole is a huge plus. The only downside is my feet tend to slide forward on steep downhills, but I feel like that's the price of the larger toe box.

I run trails 5 days a week and the Terraventures have been my shoe of choice since I discovered them in January 2020. It was the day before I ran Rally in the Valley Half Marathon and I wore them for the race the next daya big no-no, but they felt so much better than the shoes I had been running in. They were perfect for the race! I've ran many trail miles and races in the same model ever since then, including 50Ks, 100Ks and a 100 Miler. They have never let me down.

These are the absolute best trail running shoes I've ever ran in! I've been using them for awhile and have gone through half a dozen pairs and they are fantastic. I've used them for 5 mile trail runs and 50 miles trail runs and have never gotten a single blister or lost any toe nails. They are very comfortable and durable. I can't give these shoes enough praise. Absolutely amazing!

I don't really use them just for walking: I can't run, so I do a lot of videos (eg Insanity, P90X) and high incline treadmill intervals. I wear them for everything active I do. My first pair is the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever had - first time my toes felt natural. It's a max cushion style. I tried something different with these and I do still like them quite a bit. I do appreciate that the description of cushion and support was accurate.

I am a dog walker who averages about 38-40 miles of trail hiking with my pack per week. The dogs and I spend a lot of time off trail in the high desert of Oregon hiking through lava rock, and sandy trails. Therefore, I am ridiculously hard on shoes. This is my 5th pair of topos and are by far my favorite pair yet. The Teraventure 3's are tough, yet comfortable. They keep me well balanced while navigating technical terrain, and have the perfect arch support. Get you some. You won't be sorry.

I use my Topos for hikes and walks around the neighborhood. They are super comfortable with a wide toe box that fit my feet just right. I have also tried Altras and the Topos just feel more secure on my feet and mesh much easier with how I move. I've taken these all over from mountains to canyons and would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

I got these shoes a few years ago and used them in my rotation of trail running shoes and was always happy with them. I only buy shoes with large toe boxes and these are perfect. Then I took them on a backpack trip to Utah as my only shoes and they performed well in every condition. They were TOP NOTCH when scrambling up slick rock while wearing a 30lb pack. They felt comfy all day while walking long distances with that pack. And they are nimble and quick when I'm running around carrying nothing. I only wish they came in a GTX version to keep sand out in the desert. I was dumping my shoes at the end of the day and tons of sand poured out because it creeps in through the mesh. Of course then they'd be hotter. But it'd be nice to have both options. LOVE THESE SHOES!

These are amazing for my mountain hiking. I never slip. Also, very true to size. I have a slightly wide foot, and they fit perfectly.

I need the width at the front to accommodate a bunion. The arch area was too wide, as was the heel, allowing my foot to slide side to side when I walked. They seem like great shoes, so I’m disappointed they didn’t work out.

Room for all 5 toes. My second and 3rd toes are as long as my big toe. All my family and friends have long toes. We need a round toe shoe. This shoe doesn’t have that triangle sole shape made popular by Birkenstocks, where all toes need to be drastically shorter, from the “This little piggy went to market,” to the “Wee-wee-wee, all the way home.” With an orthotic insert, I live in these shoes. I would like to give them 6 stars if they had better support.

One of the most comfortable shoes I have owned. Love the wide toe box and the flexible soles. My feet do not tire in theses shoes. The tread is wearing well. Would buy again

I absolutely love my ultratraventure 2 shoes. Then I got these terraventures I love them more. I can't figure out how they are that different, but even though I alternate the shoes I wear, I want to pick these every time. I like the tighter mesh upper. It seems to keep out dust, weeds, and rain/snow better than the hole-ly mesh of the untravenures. The toe box is the perfect width, the instep snug, heal secure. I would like to see this shoe with more cushion, but then maybe the lack of cushion is what makes them better than my others. I've tried the other big name wide toe box shoe, and found them sloppy and uncomfortable. I could not get the laces to cinch down in the midsection with out hurting my foot. Thanks for a great shoe!

Fits true to size. I wear a 7 in street shoes and a 7.5 in running shoes. My normal 7.5 fits in these. Nice balance of protection, traction, and ground feel. So far have used these up to 15 miles. I expect they would be good up to the 50k distance. If you have any sections of road on your run, these are not a great shoe for that. Feel very flat on road sections but really like them on the trail. Perform well in mud and in technical conditions.

The Terraventure 3 is my favorite of the three Topo models that I have becuase it's the most comfortable. I have the Ultraventure 2, the Runventure 4, and these. The toebox in all of them is roomy and great, but these feel the best in terms of overall fit and comfort. For drop, these are right in the middle of the other two models. I've worn these on seven trail races and for training and my feet have remained comfortable, no issues. They also dry quickly.

I bought these based on a good review by Dixie of Homemade Wanderlust. She is a backpacker/thruhiker and puts hundreds of miles on shoes. She gave these a great rating. These are possibly THE most comfortable shoes I have had on my skinny, padless 72 y/o feet! I walk from 3-7 mile walks/hikes daily. They are sooo comfortable I feel like I am walking on a cloud. LOVE THESE SHOES!!!

These shoes are perfect for my daily walks in PNW rain. They grip the ground creating a security on wet pavement and trails. The toe box is good, I'm used to a larger toe box but these don't cause toe friction. I do size up - I wear a 8 1/2 but in Topo I wear a 9 1/2. Excellent walking and hiking shoes!

These are my go to walking shoes as they're drop is 3mm. They're stable in all kinds of terrains especially wet ones - no slipping in rain - love the Vibrame sole. And the large box for toes is excellent. Only complaint - I've bought three pair - is inconsistent fit. Otherwise excellent shoes!

My only beef is that the laces are so long! I've had these for close to a year now. I was looking for lightweight trail shoes with good grip. I wear these on day hikes, for travel, and everyday walking. Great on wet rocks, wet wood, steep slopes, cobblestones... Great cushion with plenty of room. I keep telling my husband he'd like them better than his 'on' brand shoes, which he complains about not having great cushion.

These are comfy and cute. Not too bulky. They dry out quickly and are light for summer heat. And give me lots of support while I'm working through a brutal Plantar Fasciitis flare up. So glad I found this brand.
