This is my 4th pair of Topo shoes. I have always ordered 8.5 and shoes fit great with my wider feet. For some reason I am about 40 miles into this pair and my feet get numb and painful in areas and the tip of one toe is hitting the front of the shoe and blistering. I feel like the fit is smaller in this style. I haven't changed anything about how I wear my shoes.

I have very hard to fit feet. My toes need room all the way across, think flipper lol! The Phantom 3 are too narrow for me. My toes hit the end in an 8. 5 but a 9 my feet are swimming. There is a seam across the top of my foot that was very tight. Loosening the laces did not help. This was very uncomfortable but did stretch a bit. While the Phantom 3 did not work for me, I'm still so happy to have found Topos! I can finally walk and be comfortable:) I'm going back to the Ultrafly 3.

I actually need a shoe for dancing Zumba- more for lateral and pivots as well as front and back. But I need a wide toe box. I don't have enough support for dancing in this brand. I love them for walking or for my job where I must be on my feet for hours.

I wanted to live these shoes, the seemed like the perfect pair for my wide front foot and narrow heel, and they were great for the first month or so of wear. But, now, I can't even wear them for half a day with out getting terrible pains in my knees and feet. Thinking this pain was from something else, I continued wearing these shoes until I noticed the front part of my foot slides around ALOT as I'm walking (heels stay put). Theres just too much side to side movement and a "tall" footbed, the ball of my foot and toes are just out there with no support. I even tried adjusting the laces, no help. I went back to my old shoes, and the pain is gone. I'm a steady size 6 lengthwise, a perfect thumbs width from the end, but these are just too wide in the front, so sad :(

I typically wear a 7.5 which is what I initially ordered in this shoe. It was definitely too small and exchanged for an 8 in red. The 8 still seemed a hair short but has not caused any problems over 400mi. I like the secure fit through the mid foot which gives me more confidence in technical terrain and on the down hill. I just ordered another pair in size 8, this time in green just so I could keep track of which shoes had more miles on them. Fit is completely different, the shoe is longer and wider, higher volume. Double checked the labeling in both shoes to be sure they are the same model and size. Cosmetics/materials are the same. What's up with that? Super frustrated. This would be my "go to" shoe and would probably recommend the shoe if I knew what size to get. Afraid to order another pair.

Super comfy but dirt and gravel gets in. These need gaiters.

The shoes are too narrow in the toe box. I wish you would be more consistent in the toe box shape and size amongst your shoes.

The width is perfect! My only issue is the outside ankle part of the shoe runs on the bottom of my ankles. Not a good fit there and causes problems. Can you design them with a lower ankle like the first pair I bought a couple of years ago. I'm back wearing them.

I run and walk in my Topos. I would like a little extra cushioning in the heel as my heels are sometimes sore after. Love the roominess in the toes and my arch feels supported.

I consistently fit into a women's 11 or a men's 9-9.5 in topo shoes. The MT3 in an 11 is WAY too small. No biggie, I just order a pair of 12s. They're ginormous. Apparently the women's 12s don't suffer from the running small issue! My husband has a pair of men's MT3s in a 9.5 that are smaller than the 12s. So if you have big women's feet like me, you may want to just try three men's MT3s. The shoes seem great otherwise! I think I'd love them if there was a size that fit like a normal topo women's 11. The blue and coral color is very pretty. It's a little brighter in person than the photos, which I like.

I like the wide toe box and narrow heel but the shallow toebox causes pressure on my toes. In my most recent 50 K I injured three toenails with the shoes. I wish the toebox was a bit deeper up at the toes.

I hike 2 to 3 miles a day and the shoe on the wider foot is taking a long time to break in. The problem is the facing of the lace area, it is very stiff and irritating. 60 miles in and it is still annoying. They are otherwise comfortable and provide secure footing. I have debated returning them, but will probably keep them. I would probably not buy again. I would recommend them for average or moderately wide feet.

I've been running in Ultraflys and wanted a shoes with some more cushion for longer runs. During my first run in the Phantom 2s, I noticed my toes were getting pinched and going numb. They are the same size in my Ultraflys, but when I put the soles together, the Phantoms were 1-2cm narrower. I was really disappointed because the cushion and ride if the shoe felt great, but I had to return them. Hoping these are either made with a wider sole, or are offered in a wider size in the future.

I have always had a hard time finding shoes until I was introduced to Topo. Although every running shoe I buy is now Topo, the Phantoms were not my favorite and I ended up returning. I thought this would be good for long runs, however I've received shin splints on both road running and treadmills.

Topo Phantom2 are my go to walking shoes. That being said, size 10.5, which has been MY size for a number of years is generally in very short supply. I was finally able to order a pair size 10.5 several weeks ago. When they arrived I was terribly disappointed that the shoes were close to a full size smaller than my previous pair. I returned & ordered size 11. While they are better I've had to scale down the thickness of my socks & the shoes still feel tighter both in length and width than my previous pair. I'm very disappointed.

Not a fan of the changes from the original Phantoms. These are heavier and feel clunkier underfoot - feels like they've lost some flexibility. The extra 3mm stack height and new junk around the heel cup was not necessary in my opinion; it's all just too much. Seems they're moving away from the lovely simplicity that makes Topos so great.

Love these shoes but this is the second pair I've had where the black rubber on the bottom of the shoe has started peeling off, thus making the shoe, esp. the heel, uneven and therefore unwearable. Very conflicted because I otherwise LOVE this shoe but can't justify purchasing a shoe that becomes disposable so quickly. I wear custom orthotics so my gait is not affecting the wear. Also, this has happened on both left and right shoes.

I was trying to replace an older, wonderful Topo shoe, and this model proved to be too flexible and not supportive enough. It is probably a fine shoe, just not for my feet.

I am a weekend walker of neighborhood trails. I loved the fit and look of these shoes, but I've only had them for nine weeks and there are holes in the topline, as if I had freakishly protruding ankle bones rubbing against it. I'm really disappointed.

A friend recommended Topo for their wide toe box. While my neuroma did not flare up thanks to the toe box, I wound up returning these. I experienced cramping in my midfoot still trouble with plantar fasciitis. Also, after two days wearing them, the upper began separating from the sole on the inside of the right foot. Not what I'd hope for in brand new shoes. Luckily, the 30-day trial and customer service made returns easy. Would recommend these for someone else with fewer foot problems!

BE CAREFUL.........THIS SHOES RUN SMALL and they will not offer refund or exchange final sales item.. It is still almost $100 shoes and it is very very disappoint. Now, my toes hurt and I will need to sell the brand new shoes to facebook market.
