OK, I never write a review. The Dunham boots are fantastic except and one critical point I bought these to be waterproof, and And within two weeks on the trail, the glue gave out on the right boot. Soggy foot. Would love another pair that keep my feet dry.

It's a D. My feet are wide at the toe (they fit) and narrow at the heel (a bit too loose). I like how they look. It's tough creating a waterproof boat. You can just include a Gore-Tex sock and call it a design. On the other hand, I have had a few pairs of Gore-tex lined boots that I would not call waterproof. My feet felt cold, and the outer part of the boat that could become saturated in wet weather or on canoe trips, but because of the Gore-tex, my feet were dry even though they felt cold and wet. I suspect that these boots will feel more waterproof, but my first impression is that they do not breathe at all.

I ordered three pairs of Dunham boots in size 8.5 4E. I have always worn the Dunham Cloud in that size and everyone is out. I do have a good pair of an unidentified style that I bought somewhere and also can't be found, but needed a boot with sufficient ankle support that I could run up and down the flights of stairs in a brownstone while taking care of my grandson. I find at the end of the day my weak ankle has issues, and so am trying boots. Wanted something soft and comfortable, and these fit the bill. I hope they provide sufficient ankle support. The forefoot is nice and wide -- the heel is a bit loose but I don't want to go down a size -- might do that in the spring if I need to. Very grateful that Dunham makes the 4E. I am a woman and need the wider toebox -- I think these are ok looking, I bought them for comfort. They seem to be well made, though I wish they weren't from China.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance, Munro, Birkenstock

I have a very high arch and the shoe was to tight across my arch. Other than that they seemed like a great pair of shoes

I really want to like this shoe, great style, looks great, good tread. BUT the shoe runs narrow and there is no real cushioning from the insole, feels like your stomping on concrete just walking in the house. I bought the 12 6E, when I looked at insoles they are 4E insoles that fit snugly in the shoe. No real arch support even felt like left foot arch support was on wrong side of shoe. Tried my own orthotics in an attempt to like the shoe, helped but then I noticed pinching and biting on top and side of foot. Also soles have no flexibility it’s like walking with planks strapped to the bottom of your shoes.

Small nick on top of one boot. I realize this is a closeout, but if you are not going to offer a return then I suggest you do a better job at Q.A. prior to shipping. And you might try answering my e-mail, even if only to confirm the item is non-returnable. I actually stopped buying Rockport company shoes a few years ago and switched to Allen Edmonds. You pay more but manoman do they last. And they are made in the USA, not China like these Dunhill boots.

These came in the wrong size because of a glitch in the computer when ordering. I have tried to call customer service many times with never getting through to anyone, I have also emailed customer service and only got a reply of "multiple request will make the process longer" I am trying DESPERATELY to get these exchanged withing the 30 day window.
