I feel like a total badass in these shoes. Highly recommend for anyone who isn’t a pussy. If you hate terrorists this shoe is for you.

I had to return these shoes because they were nowhere near wide enough for my feet. When I ordered them, I ordered the width of "4E" that showed as an option for these shoes ....which is the width I always have to get to accommodate my extremely wide feet. The "wide" or "extra-wide" designation that many shoes have is not wide enough for my feet, so I have always had to find shoes that come in the "multiple E" widths. However, when I received these shoes, the size on the shoe itself was not designated as "4E"; it was just designated as "extra-wide". Needless to say, when I attempted to put them on, they were nowhere near wide enough. I loved the style and design of this shoe, but sadly it is not available in a width to accommodate my feet.

Badassery is an understatement. I’m ready to kick in doors and drop the largest knife hand ever! Goats be warned!

No toe protection

Fit and quality is excellent. Feels like wearing tennis shoes instead of boots. They do look military but I bought them for comfort and that’s what they deliver. They look fine with work pants or jeans.

Fairly inexpensive side zip boots with nice tread pattern. Was not slippery in snow. Wish they had loop to help with putting on, other than that a decent kick about boots. 3-1/2 stars out of 5.

Great combat boot. Really enjoy the zipper on the side that makes for easy on and off. quite heavy though. sturdy boots

These feel really good straight out of the box. I normally need a week or so to 'break in' a new pair of boots and that just hasn't been needed with these. That construction feels durable and they're comfortable. I'll definitely be looking at Bates in the future.

These boots are incredibly lightweight and felt 100% broken in upon arrival. My first impressions were grim based on a couple poor reviews and a brand I've never tried before. However, it's been a little over 30 days and I'm glad I took a chance on them! My only gripe is they should have added loop straps at the back above the heel to make getting them on easier.

They are comfy but then they're not. Right around the ankle is where I'm having issues. I don't like how the tongue of the shoe and the zipper pressing up against my ankle causing my ankle to hurt. Plus walking all day on top of that with the friction is not a good idea

Fit and size where fine but got a refund and will be going back to Original S.W.A.T. Brand boots. This was the third pair of Bates boota that had the zipper bust. In fact this pair was a replacement pair for a replacement pair. Live and learn. Zappos on the other hand is great and terrific to deal with start to finish. I wont buy shoes or boots anywhere else.

1st order was way to small, so tried 1/2 up. Still feels way too small and incredibly narrow. I have never worn a wide boot ever. Likely change brands for my 3rd attempt. Going to be a month before I can wear them once all said and done.

probably one of the worst pairs of boots I've ever worn very cheap fill to them no arch support at all the laces do not tighten for nothing might as well not have laces at all overall i would say don't trust the other reviews that say they are good like I did they obviously haven't worn a good pair of boots before

Damaged on arrival. Eyelet is out hanging on the laced boot.
