First pair of Xero Shoes. They are well built and quite comfortable. The removable insole is great. My only complain is the sizing. I normally wear a size 5.5-6 so I ordered the size 6 and they are definitely too snug. Would go up to a 6.5 or maybe even a 7 next time around.

I probably should have returned these because they are a titch smaller than a normal size 10.....and yet I didn't as I am wearing them without socks. With socks I definitely need the next size. Otherwise, they are great, super comfortable, and I like them, too, as they do not make my feet too hot in the summer heat. So a thumbs up but if I buy another pair, I definitely will size up.

Most comfortable and flexible shoes. So much so I know Ill wear them in the house as slippers in the winter. Wish there were more colors for women. Why do men get red and we get pink? Ick. My gray ones are nearly lavender. No black. I dont think most women want the frilly stuff marketers and designers think they do. Uniqlo, at least, gets that. I, at least, prefer to look grown up.

I really like the shoe. Had to send another pair back that was too wide (sandal) and when tightened down then pinched. Beware, return policy has a few to mail back and restock. I don't think I will order with them again.

When they first arrived, I kept them on for four hours, and Ive never done that with any new shoes.Theyre very comfortable, and they are cute. My reason for the 4 instead of a 5 is, that I really bought them for PickleBall, and dont think that they have quite enough support for my knee situation.

Thicker than I was hoping (I was replacing my Merell Glove shoes). They work well without socks and are good for my everyday-type use

Nice, lightweight, comfortable minimalist shoe. Size runs small—had to exchange for larger size.

Unfortunately, this shoe fit is tighter across the mid foot than the Prio model, which is great. If you have a tall foot, this shoe will be a problem. I so wanted to love these shoes, but my foot could not stand how tight the fit was. Instead, I'll probably end up buying another pair of Prio because I really like the barefoot style shoes.

I love Xero shoes and the HFS are extremely light and do run a half-size too small. However, I'm so hard on my footwear that I felt I would "trash" them too quickly. I returned them and kept the Xero Prio shoes instead.

I originally bought the HFS last spring and immediately fell in love. They are light weight, flexible, cute, and really allow me to feel the ground and feel stable on my feet. I love the slimmer fit/profile vs the prio! Unfortunately, after 10ish months of wear a hole wore right through the middle of the balls of one sole and the other sole was not far behind. Well, I wrote to customer service to see about replacing them through the 5000 mile warranty at a discount but to my surprise, they actually replaced the pair for FREE because I'd had the shoes for less than a year and they shouldn't have worn out like that so quickly. I was stunned! Amazing customer service! I've owned several Xero shoes over the years and have loved all of them. This was the only pair I've had issues with. I'm only knocking a star off because of the issue I had. I want to see how long the replacement pair lasts me before I decide on this style overall. My original pair may have had a defect which can happen. They are still my favorite go to athletic shoe and I'm thrilled that Xero shoes cares so much about taking care of their customers. Even if I decide later the HFS doesn't have the longevity I'm looking for, I will continue to buy Xero shoes in other styles like the Prio which I had for about 3 years before I wore them out. As for my opinion on the HFS currently, I love them. I'll just have to see if the replacement pair lasts longer than the defective pair I bought last year. So far so good and I'm so happy to have them.

As other reviewers mentioned, the laces on these shoes are too short. They come untied easily and aren't long enough to double knot, so I've been tucking the bow underneath the laces to keep them from coming untied constantly. I wish these shoes came in a wide width. The toe box is plenty roomy for people with average width feet. I have wide feet, and find myself wishing for a bit more width in the toe box. These shoes are nice overall, but there are a lot of other shoes of equivalent quality that cost 30-40% less. I'm giving 3 stars because this isn't the best value and the short laces are really annoying.

Wanted to try zero drop shoes for my plantar fasciitis. These were smaller than the same size Xero Prio shoes but more attractive. Given that they were too small, it's hard to say anything about the comfort, but I decided not to exchange for a larger size because I want a more attractive shoe overall.

Very cute alternative to running shoes. Great for trips to the grocery store. I found that the soles were too thin for walking on gravel. Also the toe box is not as generous as described. I will wear them for out and about.

They felt cheaply made to me. They were fairly comfortable. Maybe I expect too much, but I did not care for the materials used. For the price, they could be better.

They fit smaller than anticipated even taking into account the sizing recommendations. Too narrow and short, it still comfortable.

The Zero is truly a barefoot with no cushion between the road and feet. Enjoy the comfort and flexibility the Zero gives my feet. I use them at the gym and while walking on soft turf.

This shoe fit perfect, I ordered a size 5.5 and that's what I normally wear in a tennis shoe. There was plenty of toe room. My only issue was the shoe looked cheap. I have a pair of adidas where is has the plastic look and it has yellowed, so I worried that would happen with this tennis shoe.

Hunting for a replacement for my New Balance Beacon V2s - most of the shoes I have tried have been too narrow in the toe box so I thought I would give Xeros a shot. I liked the styling of these better than the Prio (they are more sleek and don't have the super padded collar) but I wish they offered a black on black colorway. I ordered a 6 in these (I am usually between a 5.5 and 6) and that worked well if not a little tight. Since the color was no bueno, I am still on the hunt and boy do I appreciate zappos wide selection and generous return policy.

I usually wear a 10.5 Wide in women's New Balance Minimus sneakers. These shoes (size 10.5 women's) felt wider than even those. I didn't realize that there really was NO arch support at all in these. They feel like socks or bedroom slippers. Plus they look sloppy on - they don't get narrower in the arch mid-foot section - they are straight. So your foot ends up looking like a fat club foot. (Too bad, since the colors were pretty.) I wish New Balance would bring back their minimus shoes - they are awesome!

I tried these on for cross training etc. They look amazing on and are a great shoe. The toe box was way too wide for me - I'm afraid it will get bent during burpees so I didn't keep them. My foot is a normal width and the shoe felt normal until it came to the toe box area. I could sort of feel it puckering as I walked, even though the length is right. My running shoes are properly fitted at a running store and these shoes were true to size. I'm a 10 in Brooks and a 10 in these as well.
