I wear between an 8 and 8.5, so I bought an 8.5 and a 9 in these boots since the description says they run small. The 8.5 fit perfectly now that I've walked around in them a bit. I have narrow feet, and these do seem wide, but not uncomfortably so. The sole is flexible and really grippy, which I love, and they are just really comfortable to wear. I haven't had the chance to wear them in deep snow yet but they did fine in wet and cold conditions. The padding at the top around the calf is generous, and you won't be able to get any slim-leg (or most straight-leg) pants to go over these boots. They are not the prettiest boots I've ever had, but they're so comfortable I'm looking forward to wearing them this winter.

Perfect fit when you go up a half size. So comfortable but I will probably get tired of lacing them up. Don’t really care for the color, not purple and not brown. Can’t wait for cooler weather

I've gotten to wear these for a snowy walk and a spring night in the woods. Just amazing!

I'm used to winter boots that are stiff and clunky. I love that the Mika is so lightweight and flexible. I can move my feet easily while staying warm and dry. I wish I'd bought a pair sooner!

These things are amazing. The only shoes my poor feet feel as pain free as possible in. They support, keep warm, and make it so I can actually walk a few hrs a day. With these poor peeties of mine that have been through the ringer.. I love them so much.. I dont think anyone other than my hubbie and daughter truly understands how much these shoes mean to me, my life and well my sanity.

I love my Mika boots! They feel so comfortable and natural to my feet. Ive hiked a little bit in the snow and Ive even had to run in them once or twice. All around they are great shoes. 10/10 would recommend!

I loved them! But they are too narrow for my E Width foot. I was bummed.

My Mika boots really helped me keep up my weekly walking distance goals during our pandemic months at home in the woods. I found I couldn't wear them for walking every day because my knees would get angry, but the fit (I ordered a whole size up) & comfort while walking were great once I figured out how tightly/loosely I needed the laces to be. I kept the insoles in at all times because of how many of our available walking paths involve big gravel. Would love a similar warm, supporting boot with a quick escape zipper or similar since I'm also often chasing around a toddler outdoors, and the faster I can get ready to go walking with my kiddo, the happier said kiddo stays.

What I Love: I received my boots in reasonable time and I love how they feel! Every morning I slip my feet into them and it feels like I'm throwing on a pair of comfy slippers instead of stiff winter boots! I followed the recommendation for what size to order, and just as they say, a 1/2 size bigger than my usual size fits just right in these. I ordered black and they go well with a lot of outfits including a skirt and black leggings; super cute, yet athletic and comfy. (Non athletic shoes have always been a big reason that I loved getting out of my Sunday dressy outfits asap, but now I'm content to wear them all day.) Note: I am from Western Wyoming and we get winter temperatures down to -40 Fahrenheit. Because of some of the other reviews, I suspected these would not be warm enough for a lot of our outdoor, winter weather and that is correct. Since I realized that in the beginning I did not have any wish to return them when it proved true for my situation. These are great around town or on my winter walks when I am constantly moving, but if I have any times of standing around on packed snow and ice my feet go numb. Even with thicker socks. I'd say 30degrees f. and above is reasonable to wear these outdoors for a full winter day, but if I know I'm going to be outside away from heated buildings for extended times I better choose some boggs or muck boots. Maybe I will try the alpine boots for next winter...though I wish they came up higher on the calf like the mikas and had eylets instead of hooks at the top. We easily get 2-4 ft of snow during the winter. What I would change: I would replace the hooks with eyelet holes. The hooks on the top of the mika boots have become a source of frustration for me. Many times I have crossed my ankles while sitting and fallen on my face when I went to walk off. When I am doing low key activities I don't lace the boots up all the way, I tie them somewhat loosely just under the hooks and leave them like that so I can slide my foot in or out without messing with lace ups every time. This would work great if there were no snaggy hooks. Even when I haven't crossed my ankles I've had the loop from one boot snag the hook on the other boot and cause a trip, or all out fall. I know lacing up with holes at the top would take longer than with hooks, but it's worth it for safety and versatility. Being able to lace loose and low is great for most times, because I can use them as slip-ons and for indoors a lot, where feet can overheat. It's great to have the versatility of being able to go high and tight when situations call for it. ( I have a friend who would enjoy a pair if she could use them as slip ons without the snag and fall hook problem.)

I thought these were supposed to be high quality shoes. I mean the price definitely tells me the would be, but I tried to pull my boot on with the loop on the back and it just popped off lol. Also I thought these were supposed to be wider than normal shoes, but they are very snug on the sides.

I appreciate the zero drop, but definitely not wide enough to allow for toe splay. Also, I don't think these will keep my feet warm enough in these cold winters. I wish more companies would make more wide widths and more zero drop for serious winters!

Ordered the size 8 in these boots for my daughter who wears an 8 wide. She could not get her foot into the boot so I tried them on and they just fit my 6.5 size foot.

These are gorgeous boots -- one of my son's teachers was wearing them the other day. She said she loved them but they fell apart in various ways. (She was on her second pair.) For me, these do not work at all. The toe box and instep areas are way too short, and squished my foot and my big toe.

These are terrible, poorly made Chinese crap. Could not get my foot into the shoe due to the uppers being too tight. According to that frizzy-haired guy on their ads, "comfortable" shoes with arch support and padding are a sign of weakness,& stupidity, whereas "minimalist" footwear with no support or padding is what smarter, more virtuous people prefer. This is total BS. You'd think that making shoes without padding or support would cut costs which would result in a lower price. Nope! These babies cost as much as shoes made by reputable companies only with lower quality. I was going to try out a pair of hikers by Xero next summer, but not any more! Please refund my money and we'll forget this ever happened.
I'd also recommend:
Oboz are my favorite hikers of all time! Great quality, comfort and durability at a fair price.
