Storytime: About 9 month ago, my wife ordered a size 8 1/2 of these sandals. She'd been eyeing them for a while and finally dropped the cash for them. Unfortunately, they were just a bit big, and with money getting tighter because of the pandemic, she decided to return them. Fast forward to December 31st where Nisolo is having a great end of year sale. My wife is still looking at these and mentions they'd be a great birthday present. I don't get these obvious signals all the time so I jumped on them. And she simply loves them! We sized down to an 8 and they fit perfectly! She loves the look of them and the feel of them and will likely love them for many many years to come. The only critique she had (and thank you for reading all of this), was that there was a slight bubble sound coming each time she stepped. Kind of like a very small whoop cushion coming from the shoe pressing against her foot. We both think this will go away once they break in but it was something to mention. Even with this, 10/10!

I grew up in Texas wearing Huaraches of various types most likely made in Mexico. In recent years I searched for them but could not find the hand-made variety I remembered . . . until I discovered Nisolo. I own two pair of these shoes now (in two colors) and love the fit and style. They are as comfortable and cool as needed in warm weather. And I appreciate the attention to detail and craftsmanship that the women in the Peruvian shop who make them have put into these shoes. The quality of these shoes is amazing. Thank you!

My mom bought me the lighter colored Huaraches as a Christmas gift. I prefer the medium color, so I exchanged them with Nisolo. The lighter color had fit perfectly, but the medium colored shoes were significantly tighter (my toes were squished against the front of the shoe). I also noticed that one of the shoes was slightly longer than the other one. So I called and exchanged them again, for another pair of the medium colored shoes. Nisolo said that I could try going up a size, but they might stretch too much so it would be better for me to stick with my normal size (7). When I received the new pair, they were also way too tight and also two different lengths. These are great looking shoes - Nisolo just needs to work out the sizing issues and once they do, I hope to buy a pair!

These shoes bring me back to my high school days! I was so excited to see they were back in style. I read some reviews and initially ordered a half size smaller than I typically wear. I am a true 8.5 so I ordered an 8. That’s the size I ended up sticking with. They felt more comfortable. I have a feeling since they are leather they will stretch out a bit. Great quality leather. I do not envision any blisters trying to break them in. Beautiful shoes and I can’t wait to rock them this summer!

I loved these shoes for a long time and finally bought them when they went on season-end sale. The sizing was all over the place! I have very narrow feet and whenever companies say to size up that is usually a mistake for me, so I stayed with my normal 7.5 in the almond color. One shoe was perfect, the other felt too tight. I reordered a size 8 in almond, and when I got them the right shoe felt like a different size than the 8! I tried the burnt sienna color in an 8 also. Those fit OK but slipped off my heals slightly, and this size 8 felt completely different than the almond size 8. The sizing between colors is not consistent and some times you will even get a pair where the right and left shoes do not fit the same! I ended up keeping the 7.5s because some of the reviews said they would stretch. They haven't quite broken in for me yet but I guess time will tell.

One shoe was noticeably larger than the other and the inside of the shoes were damaged. I always get better quality shoes ordering directly from the brand and am beginning to suspect Zappos is selling fake shoes or factory seconds.

These Huarache Sandler are absolutely fabulous. Comfortable from the start and needed very little time break-in. The materials are high quality and I can see the leather just getting more comfortable with time. Already a fast staple in my wardrobe this spring going into summer.

I was able to wear them immediately with minimal breaking in--a feat for leather shoes--and they have been added to my daily rotation. I especially like that they're "closed toe", so I can wear them in slightly-more formal settings, but they also would not be out of place walking about a big city during the day. I wear a true size 9, ordered a size 9, and they fit perfectly.

I'm typically a 9.5, sometimes a 10, but I followed the size guide and the 9 fit me perfectly

I have wide feet and typically wear an 8.5 so I didn't size down, and I'm glad I didn't! You could probably size down if you have narrow or maybe even medium-width feet. I ended up returning the rose and buying the almond because I think it will go with my wardrobe better, but the rose is pretty and neutral.

I’m conflicted with this purchase! It was on sale and very nicely crafted!I found my foot to be a smidge wide and just walking around the house gave me extreme back pain so alas- they had to go back. Maybe in my younger years! But my slightly wide foot in combination with it being too flat would not a good fit! Beautiful sandals though!!

I had shoes like these years ago and was happy to see them again! I ordered my normal size and at first was alarmed that they felt so tight. A couple tips - 1) slightly wet them along top/side before wearing, 2) pull the top of the shoe back so the toe of it touches your big toe. This opens shoe up so it fits the width of the foot better. They are now quite comfortable and stylish with a variety of outfits. The desert rose color is exceptionally pretty and fresh!

I wear an 8.5. Based on reviews, I ordered 8.5 and 8. Both were huge. In the size 8 I had at least a full thumbs width at the back of the shoe. But these shoes are beautiful. I ordered the brandy leather and they looked so well made and expensive. I'll try another style from Nisolo.

I wanted to love these shoes. I bought them last summer, and first bought a size that was too big. After I swapped sizes, I was completely happy. They're beautiful! ...Until I wore them a few more times. Even though the shoes fit just right, my pinky toe on both shoes started to stick out. The leather strips split in just the right spot. It looks really bad, and I'm not exactly sure how to fix it. Unfortunate that $100+ look so silly on me.

I wanted to love these. They hurt my feet and I am not sure they will ever stop. I am afraid to go up a half size because I have heard that huarachas have a tendency to stretch. I am worried these won't stretch enough to stop hurting..so catch 22 and back they go! At this price point, I can't take risks!

Perfect fit, surprisingly comfortable, flattering to wide feet. Dusty rose is actually a pretty neutral.

Loved them! Took me back to the '70's but they run large.

Got a half size smaller than normal and they are a perfect fit.

Size down!!! I am a true 8 1/2, but Nisolo's website suggests buying a 1/2 size down, so I purchased them in 8 and they fit perfectly. I love them! One shoe rubbed on my heel and caused a blister, but I stopped wearing them for a few days and by the time I put them back on the blister had healed into a callus and they no longer hurt at all. They're a touch more dressy than my Birkenstocks or other sandals, which is exactly what I was looking for.

I have wanted a pair of shoes like these for a while, and when I saw the rich Brandy color, it was time to buy them. These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. It's nice to have closed-toe sandals for summer.

I used to buy a knock-off pair of these shoes, but they barely lasted for one season. I can already tell that these sandals are made to last! I ordered the brandy color and absolutely love this gorgeous, rich brown! I know that I will wear these all summer! They fit true to size in my experience.

I usually wear an 8 so I ordered an 8. They are a little wide and slightly big, but they will do. My feet will swell in the summer heat and I like the loose feel for summer sandals. I think if I ordered a smaller size they would be too tight and uncomfortable.

I have admired these shows for a while and finally ordered them. I ordered a 7.5 and they are quite snug, but in a comfortable way and I can feel the leather beginning to relax a bit. They are a nice middle-ground between sandals and flats.
