I have a thing for boots and own about 30 pair so I decided to write a review on this product. Boots are well made and fit is a bit snug for my narrow foot. I won't be wearing any wool socks with these. Overall I was a bit disappointed in the appearance of the boot. For me, a true boot is a Dr. Marten where it grabs your attention and has a bit of mass to it. The Nisola is kind of petite. In other words, it's a dress shoe posing as a boot. Not what I consider a true boot. I debated on whether to keep them or return them but since I have 30 pair, what's another pair of boots in the closet. I'm sure I will wear them on the right occasion. Good quality, good price but kind of lacks in what a boot should look like. Just my opinion.
I'd also recommend:

After trying the Amalia women boot in 2 sizes and finding them to be too narrow, I decided to try the Andres boot. Way better fit, less restrictive toe-box and overall a great design. I am a true Women's 9, and the Men's 8 fits great as long as you aren't wearing thin socks. Wish Nisolo could come out with a men's 7-7.5 as I think it would be more inclusive of different foot needs/sizes. Most shoe companies carry a men's 7.

Took me some time to find my size. I'm normally a size 11 wide. I tried going to a 12 given my usual experience with boots but it ended up a little loose so I went down to 11.5. A little bit snug but I hope that the break-in phase will fix that. My last boots gave my toes sores. Overall, beautiful shoe and really well made. I just wish Nisolo carried wide width shoes like many other upscale shoe brands. If they did I honestly might not buy from anywhere else.

I really love these boots. Would you consider a side full or half zipper?

Liking these so far. They seem to be well-made, and they have held up great in light rain. Wouldnt take them out in a downpour, but loving the look of the broken in suede.

I like that they look rugged but are not total clod hoppers. The toe shape and sole still keep the overall package looking tidy and svelte. The leather is super stiff and took some work to even get on the first few times. Made the mistake a walking a mile or two on first wearing and got blisters. After about a week they have started to find their groove, but still not 100% broken in. I like the more chocolatey tones in the waxed brown, but there is also more of a yellow that comes out when rubbed due to the wax I assume. There was some slight scuffing on one when I received and using a suede/nubuck brush to even out and it really brought out the yellow. I assume with some wear they'll develop a patina and deepen back to the chocolatey tones. Overall I am still excited about these boots but they make you work for it!

I have to review this being a newbie to getting a nice pair of boots. It's been a bit uncomfortable getting use to this pair. The leather is nice, works with multiple looks. I wish they recommended cleaning supplies at purchase, I received the how to care card for my shoes and now I feel like I have extra stuff I need to optimize care for them.

Beautiful boots, but the toe box is narrow and make my feet hurt. Also, pulling the boot over my right foot requires me to unlace the top four eyelets. I'm hoping these boots loosen up, but after four weeks and about 100 hours of wear, my feet hurt.

Hi There -
Beautiful boots! I love the simple lines of this particular boot. I've only worn them once, and while wearing them they scrapped the back of my heel and led me to bleed. I'm sure that after I break them in, that issue won't occur.

This is exactly what Im looking for, but Im a woman with size 6.5 feet...why no rugged options for ladies? Or even extended sizes?
Think all your products, and your production, are brilliant; would love to have access to more of them.

I've really enjoyed these boots so far and gotten many compliments. The only thing keeping me from giving them a 5 star rating is the fact that they leave brown marks on all of my socks. It's fairly minor but I guess the colour of the inner leather rubs off easily

Super narrow, went up.a half size and could barely get my foot in the boot, even with a pretty thin sock.

These boots fit PERFECTLY, unlike so many other brands. I have one major issue though. There is a flap of fabric on the inside where the tongue meets the front, and that flap of fabric is sewn in exactly the wrong spot so it constantly rubs against the top of my feet. I guess this isn't a problem for other people, but I can feel it every time I put them on. Its too bad since they are perfect otherwise, but it keeps them from being truly comfortable.

Pros: great look, quality leather, light weight
Cons: sole feels off-as it should have been a tad more rigid, really feel lack of support when walking upstairs when the sole pops like its hollow - think in an effort to cut weight, nisolo made a sole without the proper support (no steel shank typically present in other boots)
All in all stylish, quality boot but lacks the required sole support - not something I would expect from a $200+ boot. Probably would not buy this model again

Overall, these boots are very stylish and fit great (true to size) right out of the box. However, they arrived with multiple scratches on both boots which is extremely disappointing considering the high price point. I wish Nisolo would tighten their quality control to prevent compromised boots from reaching their customers. I am going to try the leather care cleanser recommended by Nisolo in hopes of buffing the scratches out.

Leather/craftsmanship: 5 stars
Fit: slightly smaller than other shoes of the same size, I'd get a half size up if possible (I'm a 13, so it was not possible)
Comfort: 4 stars
Appearance: slightly darker than the boots pictured (to me that was a plus, but to each his own). But basically what you see in the pictures is what you get
Shipping/logistics: I selected the free shipping option and it took 12 days to get to me. When the package finally arrived, the wrong size and wrong color were shipped to me. Customer service handled it ok, they took two more days to ship out the new pair, but overnighted them to make up for lost time
Overall happy with the purchase. Would buy again, but only from their store in Nashville.

I am a little conflicted - I really liked my Andres in brandy. So much that I ordered a second a couple years later in waxed brown. While my first Andres boot had vibram sole, the new one has a Nisolo sole with far less tread. This is a disappointment because the tread was a key feature in inclement weather - even for Tennessee where blacktop can become slick when it's raining. Now I am uncertain whether to exchange for different boot (the Matteo tread is also not-so-great tread despite being Vibram) or to simply return.

I really liked the look of these boots. You can dress them up or make them casual. Sizing is more true to size than a size down for these boots. Perhaps mine are a bit too tight because they are still uncomfortable after 25 miles of walking. I purchased a pair of Johnston Murphy boots at the same time as these for roughly the same price, and the JM boots are working out way better for me. I want to like these boots more so I'll try to stretch the leather out at a cobbler. I'm still optimistic they become more comfortable!

I originally ordered size 10, they were way too large. So I exchanged for a 9.5, the right shoe fits ok but the left is way too tight. I dont know why the sizings are so off.

Right out of the box on my first purchase I could spot a difference in terms of how each boot looked from the other. The Right boot seemed unfinished, like they chose not to wax the leather. This left the boot looking almost damage or used. The Left boot was near perfect but this made the Right boot stick out even more. I promptly exchanged for a different pair with great customer service handling it all for me. Upon receiving my exchanged pair, I noticed the same problem. One boot had almost a used rugged unfinished appearance and the other seemed perfect. I emailed customer service again but they indicated to me that the boots are supposed to be rugged in appearance. While I can appreciate the ruggedness these boots are meant to have, I would just hope for the price tag I could get a uniform pair of boots and not one boot that looks used and lighter in hue compared to the other. I tried twice and sadly couldnt get a pair that looked worth the money. Only good thing about my experience was customer service was on top of it.

The brandy Chelsea boots I ordered online arrived scuffed and of poor quality. They were not stamped with the Nisolo brand on the sole but the black pair of Chelsea's I bought were stamped. I emailed back and forth and was never provided a reason for the pair not being stamped. I made my own conclusion that they were "seconds" that I paid full price for with the expectation of a quality pair of boots.
Nisolo refunded me $70.00 for the brandy Chelsea boots without providing and explanation for the poor quality and lack of stamp.
My recommendation would be to only purchase these boots if you can try them on in a store. Once they are shipped to you... you are at their mercy.
They state that you can resell these boots if need be on a Poshmark like website. I do not think a pair that is unstamped and poor quality will be able to be sold online

Stiff boots. Paid for shipping to get the boots and then found out that I had to pay to ship them back/have a restocking fee. Not great customer service and was not upfront about that fee.
