Bought both the tan and the black. I am normally 8.5/9 shoe, and went with the 9. They fit with thin running socks, but are snug with winter wool socks, so wanted to size up to the 9.5 because I live in the NE and will most likely wear in colder weather. The black pair were brand new, as expected. The tan pair sent were definitely returns and the leather was all worn and scuffed at the toes, which really bummed me out. I have only worn them around the house to see if I can handle the 9 vs. 9.5, b/c the tan, which I like better, are now all sold out. Boo. Just from a quick walk around I can definitely see how others have had issues with them digging into the front of your ankle, and in short time most likely leaving a cut/blister. This may be remedied if you had taller or thicker socks. But both colors look adorable and stylish with shorter socks that you can't see. Wondering if some of the shoe padding you can get at a drugstore can be placed there to buffer it? Maybe I'll try it. Maybe they should just be made with nicer cushioning in that area? Anyways...they are both cute and would be very realistic and versatile, esp. b/c they are waterproof which is the main feature for my purchase. That means they are more durable and practical. I have a black pair of old Forsake "boot/lace-up sneaker high tops", that I love and wear all the time. Super practical and fun. That is why I bought these in the first place. Also thought it would be quicker to throw on vs. tying them all the time. However, you do need to use your hands to get into these bad boys, as the entry is a bit snug. They might loosen up over time though, and that isn't the deal breaker for me. IMO - The tan are a bit cuter. Wish they weren't already beat up, although will most likely get beat up sooner than later. But who wants to pay top dollar for a shoe that you didn't beat up yourself...and then have to modify the ankle so you don't get blisters. First world problems for sure, and if you really like them you would do it. I would size up a half size if you plan on wearing with thicker/taller socks, which you may have to do if you don't want blisters as well...and want to a fun, hip look and to jazz up your sweats/jeans/leggings/skirts/dress/what have you, while running around after your kids, doing errands, or watching a game on a wet or cold morning and have dry toes. :)

These have nice arch support and look good - but the internal plasticky heel "shell" starts rubbing against my foot if I walk in them for too long, which makes them good for going to work only. That's disappointing.

Great look but runs small. Neck of boot also could be higher and wider. As is, it cuts into front of the leg with walking and is especially bad going down stairs.

If you ordered these and are on the fence about keeping them because they are stiff at the ankles, there is hope! I purchased at the outlet in Freeport and was encouraged to try them out and could return back home in PA. I wear them with thicker taller socks and that helped get me through the break in period. I purchased a half size up for room. I have the tan color, and yes, they were scuffed as another reviewer said, but i was assured they were new, and that's how the leather is naturally. At this point, the only negative for me is that the leather seems to dry out in color soon even after treating it to leather milk. I'll try mink oil I guess but I don't want to interfere with any water proofing that may be on them. They are comfortable and I'm so happy I persisted in breaking them in. They are going to be my go to winter footwear. I have bad feet (plantar fasciitis, arthritis, neuritis etc) and need good shoes. These fit the bill. They have decent arch support.

These fit like a glove! They have great arch support and are very comfortable.

Love the look and fit of these shoes. They are really waterproof! I stepped out of my car straight into a deep puddle of water and my feet stayed dry!

Perfect fit! Love that they are water proof.

Love a no lace shoe. The heel on these is snug which is important for a no lace design. Initially the shoe was tight over the arch, but loosened up after a couple wears. If you have high arches, probably not a good fit for you.

I bought this pair in black at a local shop. I liked them so much I ordered these a week later.

Fit perfect from beginning and sooo warm!

The perfect boot! Living in western Montana, we experience snow and cold weather. This is an unlined boot so my expectations for using it in weather below 30 degrees was pretty low but I've used this waterproof shoe everyday this winter. Great purchase!

Size is perfect. I am a solid US 8.5 & 8.5 fit perfect in these. If wearing thicker socks, ordering half size larger would not hurt. I also love the color. Fit is really comfortable.

Bought the 7 and 7 1/2 in these to compare. The size 7, which is my regular size, fit perfect with a regular sock and a bit snug with a thick winter sock. Since I plan on mostly wearing them with thick socks, I went with the 7 1/2. Shoes look great, they feel sturdy and now I'm thinking of getting the black ones!
