I'd tried on a 7.5 at a store and it was too short. I felt sure the 8 would fit but when the 8 arrived from Zappos, it was HUGE. Also, there is little to no arch support which I really need for a shoe to be comfortable. I think it's a darling boot but I had to return. I'm afraid I just don't have a Born foot.

I ordered up a half size as other reviewers recommended. Fit great, very comfortable right out of the box. Love the color and style. Only thing I didn’t care for was the string tied in a bow. The shoe style is kind of edgy, I don’t think a bow looks good so I tied a knit and cut off the excess. Much better!

I agree with the other reviews that these run a bit small. I happen to be a 10.5 and since it’s almost impossible to find shoes in a 10.5, I almost always round up to 11. These fit me great. When I first put them on they felt just a bit small at the toe but I walked around the house in them and after 10 mins they felt perfect. I love how they look and how comfortable they are. They aren’t too heavy either.

I LOVE these boots! They are even better than I thought from the pictures - casual and distressed but not sloppy or beat looking. I normally wear a size 9.5 but sized up to a 10 based on reviews and I'm glad I did. They fit perfectly!

I really like this boot. I like the style and the fit; however, I wear a 10 and although this boot fits, I’m not so sure it will with socks. I’m sure socks, even thin ones, will make the fit too tight. If I could go up a half size, I would.

Comfortable, beautiful, perfect for fall and winter. These boots are easy to put on and take off too. I’m so in love with them! Did not disappoint! I’m a 7.5 and they fit prefect.

I have a pair of the Tarkiln style purchased a year ago. They are very comfortable. These are much stiffer all around. They also don’t look as pictured. All one color, laces not very different.

Got my shoes today, have been wearing them around the house and they seem very comfortable. I chose the gray, a new color for me and true to the pictures, and my usual size 7.5. It’s a good fit but I couldn’t wear thick socks with them, just the normal thickness. My skinny, narrow heels do slip, I could add a heel insole. Someone mentioned they were stiff and yes they are, but pliable. They are a thick suede, I imagine they will soften with wear. I like the zipper and that the laces are only for looks. I like the heighth, an inch above the ankle. Not crazy about crepe soles but they look nice. I hope they are my everyday shoe/boot this winter

I was on week 6 of a severely sprained ankle and still limping. I planned to wear these shoes during my vacation/Christmas trip visiting family. My sister and I walked, and walked to shopping and sightseeing. My ankle went from a painful limp to a healed ankle. This shoe/boot gave me good arch and ankle support. Who needs to buy an expensive boot cast :-)

Beautiful boots, well made, but run small

Comfy! Soft soles, soft leather. I can easily walk around in these for hours right out of the box.

Oh man.. well I seriously had a hard time taking them off after I put them on for the first time! I highly recommend these boots! True to size as well :)

I absolutely LOVE these Born boots. They fit perfect and are so comfy and stylish!! I would have in every color if possible. I am on my feet all day - and no issues.

These are awesome ankle boots, true to Born style and quality. Bought them in Taupe, wish I could tell if the leather is oiled or not. In my climate they'll need to be waterproof and I'll do what's needed to see to that. One criticism - and it's mostly tied to the size I wear. I'm 5'10", 150 lbs, and my ankles/calves run lean. Wish they fit just a bit more snug around the top of boot; tightening the laces would only bunch the front up a bit. Don't think they'll look too 'off' with skinny jeans, but I really love them and will keep them regardless.

I love the look of these shoes. They are reasonably comfortable. They have minimal arch support. They eat my socks but I did some research and plan to wear tighter socks. I have worn them for 3 days now. Scuffs show up.

I really wanted to like these as they are super cute and just what I was looking for, with a unique appearance. But, they slipped in the heel and I knew I would never be happy.

Beautiful, quality booties, but not for my feet. Toe box too narrow and heel too wide.

would fit true to size with a light sock; with a medium weight sock you may want to go up a half size

I’ve had them over a year now, right out of the box, comfortable!! They pair well with jeans, dresses, dresses w/ leggings. Great travel boots bc they are so comfortable!! But then again they are Born boots!! Always great quality too. In some Born boots & shoes I wear a 8 but these are 7.5 and spot on fit for me.

Love the look! It was difficult to find a pair of these in my size (9), and if I could get my feet into these I would love them! The problem may be because I have a high instep…I can’t get my feet into the boots! The side zipper just doesn’t supply enough room.

I love these shoes. Born is a hard fit shoe for me but I wanted to give this boot a chance. They arrived and I liked them very much and the length was good but they fit tight especially on my left foot. I am a diabetic and I know I cannot wear tight shoes. Instead of returning the shoes, I took them to a local shoe store and asked them to stretch the boots. I picked them up yesterday and they fit great with plenty of width. I am so happy with the shoe! I am glad I did not return them!

Love them! They look great with jeans.
