These boots are OK with overpronation and offer some decent arch support. I have fallen/flat arches , bunions, wide feet, arthritis, big toe joint degeneration, bone spurs, and overpronation problems as well as an unstable foot joints. These boots address enough of these overall issues (in a wide size), that I don't think I'll need an orthotic insert. The heel is approximately 1.5" and the platform mid-ball is approx. 5/8", so the overall heel height is superb from a comfort . I got these for overall winter/snow wear in Iowa including scooping snow, as well as for casual/general everyday winter styling. perspective. My biggest concern at this point is that they are truly waterproof. I will come back to edit this review should I find there are any further problems. The only (insignificant) issue at this point is that the forward boot shaft does lightly scrape slightly against my upper ankle/shin. I believe tall socks will alleviate the issue, but will check back in if not. I wear a size 11 wide in these boots. They are a skosh narrower than I prefer. This is a normal size for me: I also wear a 10.5 Wide to WW depending on the style of shoe. Definitely need the 11 Wide in these; could use a little wider.

There’s a lift to the heel that I don’t find comfortable.

The leather is very stiff and cut into the front of my ankle when I wore them for 5 minutes.
