Out of the box I could see these were high-quality boots. They fit perfectly with my own sole inserts on top of the factory-supplied ones. They didn't need any break-in time as they were comfortable from the very first wearing. They look great but my only comment about the styling is the laces are kind of blah-color, however this is easily changed and not a big deal. The boots lace up easily and the laces tighten and loosen smoothly, unlike some boots where you have to struggle to pull them tight enough (I have narrow feet and so I have a lot of experience pulling on boot laces). These are perfect for every day wear. I am a carpenter but I don't need to wear safety toe shoes all the time. Great support for a full day on the job. I'm sure I could wear these for taking a walk or hike at lunchtime without the need to drag around an extra pair of shoes in the truck. Highly recommended.
