I had never heard of this brand before, and the shoes had no reviews, but I'm so glad that I decided to take a chance and order them. I was looking for a waterproof hiking shoe for urban adventures in wet, cool weather. I used to wear Keens, but I couldn't find any this season that fit well. I'm a convert to Helly Hansens now because they fit great, are supportive, and have a wide enough toe box (just a smidge smaller than Keens have, but they work for me). The included insole has a decent cushion without being bulky; however, I removed them to put in my custom orthotics.

I think had they had other colors to choose from, I wouldn't have gone with black. But as far as the make of the shoe- it feels sturdy and makes me feel like a powerhouse ready to kick some a** :) They're a great purchase!

these just felt very odd on my feet - just not comfortable. The tongue is really short which I could tell was going to be a problem - that the tongue or the laces would rub and be uncomfortable.

Best hiking shoes ever. Second pair I have bought. Will never buy another brand.

I returned this size and went up a half size because I like my hiking shoes larger. I left another review. VERY satisfied.

Super comfortable. I ordered a half size up since I generally do this for hiking shoes. My feet are not narrow but not wide, though a bit square in toes. I loved these (and love Helly Hansen's clothes)! I have very delicate feet but immediately needed a new pair of shoes for a hiking trip to Yosemite. I was so lucky. I wore these 6 straight hours two days in a row in Yosemite, brand new out of the box, and not a single blister. Amazing.
