These make an excellent light duty hiker. Very light weight and comfortable yet the tread is very grippy and the upper provides great ankel support.

This was a newer Timberland style with less reviews than others so I took a chance purchasing them for a 6- day intense winter hike trip through Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, and Red Rock National Parks, The fit was perfect, no breaking in required. These boots provided comfort and warmth and kept my feet completely dry even on the last day crossing the river throughout the West Fork Trail in Arizona. I absolutely love these boots and give them my highest recommendation!!

Great fit, style, and support.

This is very light boots. On the twelfth size they sit very comfortably. There is a small gap for a warm thick sock. I am satisfied with the purchase.

Used these for some moderate hiking in very rough, rocky and wet terrain, and they had excellent grip and proved to be waterproof. The first day I thought I'd made a mistake and that they were too large, then I realized I hadn't pulled the laces tight enough. Unlike other boots I've owned, when you pull the long laces the laces tighten between all the eyelets-- after I realized this they closed much tighter and fit me nearly perfectly.
