I really wanted this show to work. I needed something for travel to walk around all day in and then go the theater without having to wear something too casual. The black fabric on this shoe has a little shine to it- not too sparkly though- and the patent accents dress it up just a bit. The white sole isn't too much either compared to other athletic shoes. It has a bit of arch support and padding in the heel, the heel isn't too high to hit the ankle bone but it does wrap and grab the ankle. The only problem I had was that the toes were a bit too tight for me. For reference, I wear Altras to hike in and the shoes I eventually kept were Brooks, so my toes like space. The Leigh isn't especially narrow. I wear 7.5 to 8 and maybe an 8 would have been better and if I had more time I would have tried it because this is a nice, comfy shoe otherwise.

Very comfortable, quality materials. Wish it had more arch support, but otherwise a great shoe. Walked 16 miles in them the first weekend.

These shoes were a perfect fit right out of the box! They are SO comfortable and very stylish too. I took a chance and packed them for a trip just a day after receiving them and they didn’t disappoint - I walked miles in them. They are worth every penny of their high price!

Awesome shoes. Wore with a lightweight wool socks and I walked miles with no hint of misfit. My last experience with a cloth-topped shoe was a disaster, but these are firm, stable and very comfortable. The heel does not slip and toe box is good sized. My only wish is for more colors.

These are great shoes straight out of the box. Cloth top is very stable and soles give good traction on wet ground. Wore them for the first time with lightweight wool sock. No slippage on heel, roomy toe box, and good arch support. Lots to love about these shoes except they need, must, come in more colors.

Shoes were comfortable right out of the box. Would buy another pair if I could get cleaning instructions.

I was forced to order an 81/2 because the size 8 was sold out...and I am so happy I did! I am always a size 8 in Ara flats, but I never tried their sneakers. These are beyond words...extremely padded, I do feel like I'm walking on a cloud. And, they are beautifully made and stylish !

ARAs are usually so stylish These are well made but they just left me cold!
