Bought because I liked the waterproof and good tread while still looking in the ballpark of business casual acceptable, and, because Clarks often works well for my feet: wide, but especially big up front in the toebox. So, what'd I find? On styling, in person the leather is less shiny-tumbled and more dull and shapeless than the listing photo. Not ugly for what it is, just a bit more 'galosh' and little less 'oxford' than hoped. Specific to my foot, unfortunately, in my usual size the "wide" fit was still too narrow, and going up a size, the forefoot was then just barely wide enough while my heel was slipping as I walked from the back being too loose.

A bit tight for my wide feet and and with a sturdy look, this is a really well-made pair of shoes. Cushioning feels great, and materials seem excellent. Looking to get a lot of good wear from these "Rockies."

They were a bit snug in the toe area.

These shoes are too narrow.

Solid construction but no significant footbed padding.

I bought Clarks because I have two other pair of Clarks which fit fine. I ordered the same brand thinking that their sizing would be consistent. It's not. This pair of shoes was at least a half a size smaller, both in length and width. The show slips on my heel also.
