Fit is good and true to size. The insole and outsoles of the shoe do nothing for comfort. Arch support is non-existent. Replacing the insole with an insert also did nothing for the aforementioned issues. Working in these was painful for me.

It infuriates me that new shoes come with laces that are way too long! These shoes come with 60 inch laces and should come with 45 inch laces. It’s extremely frustrating that I have to buy new laces every time I get new shoes.

I wear these for walking around the plant in a non-nutritive beverage manufacturing facility that uses the color blue a lot. I thought they would be a good alternative to leather, that hopefully they would breathe more but natural leather actually breathes a lot better in my opinion even waterproof natural leather breeds better than these. I've noticed my feet sweating more in these than they do in natural leather boots. They also have a feel that I would describe is "not confidence building". Thirdly one of the shoes has a lip on the inside over the composite toe that is curling over when I put my foot in it (this is all on the inside) so I have to take the shoe back off reposition the composite toe to get it back into place and then put it back on I've never ever had to do that with a shoe of any type before. They didn't require a break in. Obviously but that's because they're extremely flammable materials that pliability does not inspire confidence when walking around the plant over the various gratings and things of that nature. I will be returning to boots. These were an experiment that I believe is a failure. They also have little to no arch support.

My pinky toe hit the composite. It would have been a terrible time if I had kept the shoe.

I tried several different sizes and communicated with fellow United workers; most were unsatisfied with the overall product. Not with Zappos, only with the choices and quality of the shoes United Airlines approved for purchase. In addition, many people have issues with blisters and abrasions. Pain seems to be common with some of the shoes. The shoes I have is the NB 589v1 size 9 (4EE). They feel tight under the ‘composite toe’ area. However, I’ve decided to keep them because I don’t think there’s a better fit with another product. I want to comment about Zappos’ customer service agents I’ve communicated with, several times on the phone, They are great, Professional, Kind & Courteous. At times it can be very difficult to return something, make changes and communicate unsatisfaction over the phone with a product. The Zeppos Customer service agents made me feel better making changes & submitting a return, than before I called. This was is the first time for me. They made the entire process much easier and reflects very good on the company. Great Team. Sincerely, Joe

Too heavy to wear, I'm not using it right now (using old Rockport Work). Should be some information about the shoes weight in your catalog.

Shoe fits well but does not provide the support needed for a diabetic with neuropathy in both feet and plantar fasciatis in both feet. First of 4 pairs ive ordered on line that doesn't give me blisters so great on that part but without the proper support I am going to struggle to work a complete shift. Out of the 4 pairs I've ordered only one has felt like it provided the support needed.

Overall the safety it provides is great, but it lacks the comfort that New Balance tends to offer, my feet hurt even with insoles. They are bulky and heavy, something to expect from a safety shoe, but overall a shoe for work that after 10 hours does make your feet hurt.

HORRIBLE fit! extremely loose on my foot, and not "true to size". I wear New Balance gym shoes exclusively and wear a size 13 wide. I ordered the same size as I wear in standard footwear, and you could put 1-1/2 of my feet in these things. The toe box is HUGE, and again, not true to size. I need to return these items to you for an exchange to a better fitting shoe. Not being able to try them on before buying is a HUGE mistake and very inconvenient!

I've worn NB 4E shoes size 11.5 since 1984 back when you brought your own running shoes to USMC boot camp so when I heard they had a CT shoe I did not hesitate to get them. Big mistake! They are not a full 4E which is miss leading and dangerous. I tried to wear them to see if they would stretch out but this caused an injury that after three weeks I am still not 100% over. The arch support was great so I decided to buy a half size larger but these too are not a full 4E. Very disappointed but still wearing my none CT NB shoes as I write this due to their comfort and support in helping to get over the injury.

Needs more flexibility, cushion, arch support, and better insole. The large toe box makes them look a little like a clown shoe. They look like a sneaker, but feel like a stiff low top boot. They're the least comfortable pair of NB I've owned. I had to replace the paper thin insole with a superior insole from Keen to make them wearable.

The insoles provided zero support. The right shoe pinched my toe and made it go numb, even with a Wide shoe.

The arch felt concave, and I’m flat footed. Very uncomfortable without an insole to support the arch for me.

They're not comfortable and you'll need new insoles to make them wearable. They look a little goofy with the giant composite toe. With a new insole they're Okay. Not good, just OK. I've had better shoes and boots from Keen and Timberland.

This is the 5th time I've purchased a New Blance shoe. These are the least comfortable and they look kind of goofy because the toe is so huge. These are low top boots that look like sneakers. It doesn't feel or wear like a sneaker, it doesn't bend enough. The insoles are about as useful as a piece of cardboard. You will *need* to put new insoles into these shoes to make them bearable. I put Keen K-10 insoles into them and with the new insoles they are a 3, they're ok. Don't know if it's these shoes but I have planter fasciitis now.
