Backs are to stiff and cause blisters. I had to smash them down n walk on the backs to break them in.....

They are super comfortable! I can wear them all day!

I love my Hilo's in black , but the Hilo's in turquoise embossed isn't true , they aren't turquoise at all more mint , so they don't match anything I have , I was very disappointed

This shoes were absolutely amazing at first! They were super comfortable! After a couple wear the cow hair started to fall off and it began just leaving white patches of the hide. I loved the shoes other then this!

Great pattern, but they are very narrow. I couldn't even put my foot in.

Unfortunately, these did not fit even though they were the same size as two other Ariat styles :(

They are super cute, But they hurt the back of my ankle pretty bad by just walking on them a few steps.

Fit is very comfortable however the left shoe slightly a different color

I ordered the size I normally would in the distressed flag pattern, and when they arrived I could barely get them on. Then when on I could feel the back of the heel wasn't straight, but leaned hard into the back of my foot, which would have caused a nasty blister if I had tried wearing them. The toebox was also too tight. There's no way I could wear these comfortably, and I had to exchange for a size up (no half sizes available). Not sure what happened with these shoes, as I own several pairs of western boots and slip-on shoes from Ariat, and they all fit just right! I've worn out a few pairs of Ariat boots over the years. All the same size that I ordered in these shoes and when I held them up to one of my new pairs of slip-on shoes for comparison, I could even see that the heel was straighter on those, nothing to dig into my foot, and the toe was maybe a half-size longer too

These r great shoes but for me a tight toe box. I normally am a medium/regular shoe so it surprised me tge shoes r so tight and no option for wide. Same experience for two Ariat shoes.

Looks-wise, these shoes are adorable. Fit-wise, they are just "okay" for me. They are a bit too wide, and they gave me a blister on my heel because the back of the shoe rubbed against it while walking. They're also not as comfortable as expected. I think I will stick with Ariat riding boots instead of their every day shoes. (I'm a size 9 in Ariat boots, so I thought the sizing would be comparable.)

I bought some because I thought they were so cute. They definitely rub your heel and I came untied (and I cannot retie them right for the life of me!) The toe was tight at first and now they feel too big, like they have stretched.

Don't buy online. I never got half my order. After I inquired still no response.

I already have a pair of these in a different color and bought the same exact size, but the recent pair is too small so pretty disappointed about that. Hopefully they stretch.

After a few wears, the shoe started to separate from the sole. The fit for my foot was a little tight initially but better after 3 or 4 wears. The design and color are super cute! I just wouldn't recommend if they're going to be used often or for longer periods. I was a little disappointed because I know that Ariat makes a lot of amazing products!

Super cute print and the soles would be comfortable except they're SO. NARROW. I'm doing everything I can to stretch them out because I really want to wear them, but not if my foot goes numb.

I love the fabric version of the Hilo, however the embossed leather is very rigid and tight. I don't think they took into account that leather would not stretch like the cloth does.

These shoes are my go to when its cold (Arizona) they are easy on, light, comfortable and cute. Living in Arizona thats all you need. Perfect! Please never faze them out . I need more! Thank you for such a great shoe. Laurie Roberson

Cute design and very light but so uncomfortable to wear! I'm usually never disappointed with Ariat's boots and shoes. Never had any problems with discomfort, even when breaking new ones in. These on the other hand caused blisters on the back of my feet. Everytime I walked, I can feel it digging into my foot. It didn't matter what type of sock I used, the problem still occured. I had used these on vacation and required a lot of walking. Although they were comfortable on the sole, walking became nearly unbearable with the constant rubbing on the back. I ended up having to put bandaids on just to avoid more irritation but only gave minor relief. Based on other reviews, this seems to be a common issue.

I first tried these on in my regular size in the store however were too small. So i ordered a size on line. The problem is the back of the shoe rubbing up against my ankle. No matter what size, whether it was half size bigger or not the ankle part is SO tight.

I've tried two different sizes and they are too small to get on. In every shoe I wear I'm always a 9. I ordered a 9, way too small. I ordered a 9 1/2 still way too small and I have to return them again. Pretty disappointed cause I really liked them
