My son loves his new coat. It is light weight and very warm for Georgia winters, which can get cold but not that cold. I ordered a size down for him based on the directions from Columbia and it was good I listened. He usually wears a L but a M fits him well in this coat. He wanted the blue version and he likes it. My family all owns some type of Columbia coat, fleece, or raincoat and this addition is just as good as these others.

Nice jacket, Omni heat is very warm and fast shipping

This is really good. Initially it appeared low quality and too thin to keep the cold out (I was about to return), but apparently this really works. Though, if you're really interested in a jacket that really feels like a jacket mass, this one's not for you. My usual jacket buying size for Columbia is XL, but the website suggested sizing down so I bought L and it fits perfectly, even with additional clothing inside. I am skeptical though of the Omni-heat layering, some other Omni-heat products I have used start to wear off and transfer their gold/copper color to other clothing I wear.

Jacket is lightweight with kind of a retro 2-tone look, but it's not as warm as I expected. Wind resistance is particularly disappointing. I'm sure there is some benefit to the Omni-Heat lining in lab testing, but I'm not feeling them. My older Columbia jackets without the lining feel at least as warm. The Omni-Heat lining also feels unpleasant against bare skin, so wearing the jacket over short sleeves is uncomfortable. It might look cool and have some technical benefits, but I will be avoiding Omni-Heat lined Columbia jackets in the future.

Good coat, snug fit, hood is too large, can pull over my entire head down to chim. Great if you had a hat with pompom on top.
