warm, I have a small head, and it was tighter, but i think it's too tall and creates a cone shape that is a bit pronounced.

The hat itself is very functional, definitely the warmest hat I own. However, the one I received looks very different from the picture online. As you can see in my picture, the cuff is clearly a medium blue. On the website, the cuff is black. It is the "dusty pink flurries" color. It doesn't match the rest of the hat and it doesn't look good. I got it on sale for pretty cheap so I'll keep it for shoveling, but I won't be wearing it in public. I was surprised because I've never had such a thing happen from Columbia, and I've ordered many things.

If you have a small head do not buy. The hat is cute but runs large.

If you want to look like a cone head, this hat is perfect!
