I read many many reviews for these before deciding to try these booties. I was looking for something waterproof, cute and comfortable for longer walks in the rain with my dog. I am returning them because I don't think they are as comfortable as some people stated, at least for my purpose. Also, a toe box issue. 1st, I got the impression that they are almost like wearing an athletic shoe as far as walking comfort. I don't quite agree. I think they are definitely a stiffer shoe in that regard. I will say that since I chose to return them, I did not venture out on a walk for a final test, as I wanted to keep them in return condition. But I walked around the house and got a sense pretty quick that they weren't going to work for comfort on a long, rainy walk for me. The sole was not soft enough. 2nd - size - people kept saying go a half size up, and some gave reasons while others didn't, and some people said they were true to size. So I chose my normal 9 1/2 because I knew I would wear thin socks. Here's my take - I think the toe box is not tall enough, so the shoe feels smaller. That and the toebox material is hard rubber. I would not want to size up, as I don't think length is the issue. I think, because the shoe is hard rubber in the toe area, your toe nail hits the top (and my toe nails are all trimmed up) because my toe points up just enough to hit the top of the shoe. And I doubt it would "break in" since it is hard rubber. I am returning these and getting a waterproof athletic shoe instead.

These boots are weird. The wooly part makes it look like a winter boot, not a rain boot, but there's not enough insulation on the inside, so it's not a winter boot. The tongue is too wide. When I lace it, it won't lay flat and it's annoying. I can't pull them tight enough because of it. The bottom half of the boot is nice, as is the color. Overall, they didn't work for me and I returned them.

It may be the peak of summer outside, but I'm that person still on the hunt for winter boots. While I love the amazing blend of style/function in Canadian footwear companies like Pajar & Cougar, I find their shoes to be extremely narrow. I kind of liked the older version of the Sorel Out 'n About, but quickly returned them since folks complained about the sole peeling off. On a whim, I decided to order the Sorel Out 'n About III and these may finally be a keeper. The sole is noticeably thicker and sturdier. It adds weight to the shoe. I'm fine with that compromise because they aren't so heavy and bulky like other winter boots I've tried. I wore them around the house for several hours and found them comfortable - i.e. no pinching. They also looked really good with boot cut pants. Two minor items: 1) the ankle area gaps a bit on me. It doesn't present any fit problems and since I'll mostly be wearing these with pants, not an issue; just a stylistic item to note. 2) the sole of the shoes definitely don't have the traction of other winter boots since they are meant to be a rain/muck boot. If they come out with a "plus" version (i.e. has some interior lining), I might exchange for those, but otherwise, I'm pleased with these shoes.

These shoes are really uncomfortable, I bought it first in my normal size 10, they were small so I sized up to 10.5, but the shoes are loose like a rain boot where your heel slips out, but your feet slide forward and smash your toes. They are not shoes that I would ever buy if I tried them on in store. I wore them once and don't really want to wear them ever again. Which is a shame for how much I paid for them.

They are adorable. I gasped when I opened the box. The duck toe makes the whole design. I'm glad I went with the color that fit my personality. They are comfortable. A bit firmer on the bottom than sneakers, but that's what I expected from a boot designed for rain, light snow and multiple terrains. I wear a size 7 usually (sometimes I get away with a 6.5) and with thinner wool socks they were the perfect balance between roomy and snug. There's nothing digging into the foot, just a smooth interior. I wore them on a walk in light rain and was very comfortable, felt like I could walk several miles in them. Rain just beaded up and rolled right off the shoe. They were very easy to step into without even bending over when the laces were untied. The height is perfect, they hit right above the ankle bone which helps keep my short legs (I'm 5'1") not looking stubby haha!

I had to go a 1/2 size up in these. I wear a size 8 with Sorel normally, but in these the 8 felt uncomfortable. My toes slid forward against the front when I walked. Exchanged for 8.5 and it felt much better. Very cute, excited to wear these!

The shoes are phenomenal I color and look, but I have had them for a short amount of time and the grey/black rubber on both toes is breaking away from the other pieces of leather.

Very cute shoes! Ordered 1/2 size up, as others suggested and it’s perfect. Shoe is roomy and slips on easy. The leather is very soft, no rubbing.

OK, here is the good, the bad, and the ugly: Good: they are really cute, good arch support, good "spring"/cushioning when you walk, wide toe box. I wore them to Alaska in zero degrees and with one pair of wool socks my feet were not cold. The bad: the tongue attaches to the side of the boot, and these attachment points are very uncomfortable for the top of your foot. The ugly: the tongue is not wide enough (or I got a defective pair). In the picture you can see the pencil pointing to the area in question. This area is open, and water/snow can enter the inside of the boot.

I've ordered multiple styles of Sorel ankle boots this fall and have been disappointed. These shoes (like the others I ordered) have a strange fit in the heel area. They are basically straight with no curve to cup your heel. Combine this issue with the overall stiffness of the shoe and these fit more like a clog with your heel slipping up an down with each step. Normally I'm a big fan of Sorel. Is it just me and am I missing something here??? Returned.

I had been searching for a cute pair of waterproof shoes and knew these were the ones as soon as I saw them. I love Sorel boots-have a couple pairs-so I was sure these would be awesome too. Some of the reviews made me a little nervous about the sizing because I was ordering them specifically for a trip I was leaving on in 3 days and wouldn’t have time to exchange them. (Zappos got them to me a day early! WooHoo!) I normally wear a size 10, but based on reviews I ordered a 10.5. They felt a little too big when I put them on so I purchased some Dr. Sholl’s sport inserts and they were perfect! The boots feel great and honestly, I feel like I’m wearing sneakers when I have them on-they are that comfortable! I wasn’t crazy about the shoelaces that came with them, but that was an easy fix. I used a pair of floral ones I already had on hand and it just added to the cuteness of the boots! I’m already thinking I may order another color when I get back home, they are perfect for fall and winter. My feet are in Heaven!

The fit and size were perfect on me. Unfortunately the quality is less than perfect. I bought these in October and didn’t start wearing them until Thanksgiving sometime. So in approximately two months of average wear due to weather, the rubber sole appears to be detaching. Water gets inside the one. I wear wool socks but I mean that’s to keep my feet warm, the heat retention while wet is just an unintended benefit. But my feet aren’t supposed to be getting wet in new boots! This is only happening on one shoe. Sorel is a name brand and due to past experience (in the military I also had a pair of Sorel boots and they lasted for years) I knew that the quality is usually very good. I was hoping the same for these. I’m really disappointed with how short of a time these lasted. Didn’t even last the whole winter! I do have a North Face pair I’ve had for years, but they are knee high so I just wanted something for around town in the light snow. These fit the bill and I was so excited to get them. So bummed!

I got these to replace my beloved Sorel Out and About Chelsea slip ons that somehow got a tear in the rubber. I was disappointed that these weren’t quite the same as my favorite lace free pull on go everywhere Chelsea, but I was wrong! These are even better. They are so cute and very comfortable. They look great with leggings or jeans. I thought the laces would be a hinderance, but they are very easy to slip on and off. I think the laces make them even more comfortable because it does not rub agains the ankle. They are very comfortable and not bulky feeling or looking. Suitable for cold weather and some snow but obviously not a snow boot. Overall I love it. A great boot for everyday fall/winter life in Cleveland.

I have been obsessively thinking about these boots, since I first saw them in the fall. The mix of neutral Camel Brown/Black colors makes this boot so versatile! As the name implies, these are great boots for running around in, and the duck toe and waterproof features make clean up easy. However, these are not warm to wear in the snow or very cold weather for longer periods of time, or downpours. The insoles requires some breaking in as the footbed had a scooped feel.

I have ordered EVERY PAIR of the Out N Abouts that have ever come out, hoping one of them would fit because I think they're just the cutest style...but they always fit weird in some way. These have a shallow toebox and even in a half size up, I couldn't get enough clearance to be comfy. I do have fibro and am more sensitive than most, but because the plastic doesn't flex, I found it made my toenail sore as I wore it around my house to test it. The style is SO adorable, it creates the illusion of a smaller foot and seems casual but not sloppy. But, I'm not dealing with pain all day, so back they go.

I like these but not enough. The toe box is wider than on some other Sorels that I've tried, which is great for me, but there's not a lot of padding, they're kind of stiff, and there was a spot on one of them. They're going back. Too bad because they're pretty darn cute.

I was actually disappointed in these. Everyone hypes up Sorels but I don't think they are worth the money. They are cute, but uncomfortable and slide on your heels since you can't really tie them. I wouldn't purchase again.

I bought these specifically for a winter trip to NYC. They did not disappoint! My feet stayed dry in the light rain, comfortable (though I do use orthotics) and I got several compliments from both New Yorkers and fellow tourists.
