These were slightly narrow and the insides had seams and stiffness that made for a very uncomfortable feeling when walking around in them. There was chafing and the feeling of something digging into your feet legs and ankles. I love the style and look but could not endure the discomfort of these boots. I was surprised Sorel missed the mark on these. Usually all their boots are super soft and comfortable.

Looked great by way too narrow

These run super narrow. I fished around inside for the hidden cardboard some people have mentioned, but I didn't find any. They just run toe smashingly narrow and generally small. I also found them to be painfully stiff. I literally walked a few steps across my kitchen and said NOPE! They were painful and stiff in a way that I don't think would break in. They also look kind of cheap, like stiff rubber. They are a big no for me.

These boots are extremely uncomfortable.

Right boot was fine. Left boots felt 1/2 size smaller.

I love my Sorel Joan of Arctic boots but needed a good solid rubber soled boot for walking in snow and on ice and chose the Sorel Brex Lace boot. When I first tried them on they seemed to fit well and I was happy with the style and the rubber sole. I responded a thumb's up to the immediate, after delivery, Zappo message asking how they fit. However, I had only tried them on at that point. Actually wearing the boots is another matter. Deep heel blisters developed immediately and the heel cabinets inside the boots were built so high that it impacted the bottom of my ankle bones and gradually, painfully, shredded them to open skin. The boots cost so much that with bandaids on all sores and raw wounds, I persevered by wearing them for a week to try to "break them in" , but I give up. I cannot even walk without limping. These boots are not wearable, I am very unhappy with them and I want to return them.

Just not the same quality of the Sorel Boots I bought last year or in past years.
