I purchased them for a kind of mock dress shoe and the look was perfect. Rubber a bit shinier then I would of guessed but not a bad thing.

I love the look but they are just too narrow. They are going back.

These are great looking shoes, and the materials are high quality, but the insole doesn't offer as much cushion as the Old Skool Skate I recently purchased. They also run a tad smaller and tighter than that pair, which fit perfectly. If you're between sizes as I was, definitely best to go 1/2 size up. All in all, another solid pair of Vans, just not quite as good as the OSS that are my new favorites.

Looks great. But it's tight in the toe. I'm trying to break them in but they're tighter than all my other vans. Hurts a bit too.

This shoe needs more color options. The greasy black sole is disgusting looking tbh. Matte would be a much better look.

These are super cute but they are extremely narrow at the toes and they kill your feet all day. Sorta sad cause I was so excited for my new pair :(

I don't know if I missed something when these were on sale, but they are NOT meant for folks with wide feet. At first I thought it was just cause they were new and needed to break in. So I started wearing them. They are giving me a pretty impressive bruise on my feet, even AFTER I took them to a shoe repair place to have them stretched. The shoes are well made, and I LOVE vans, but now I'm stuck with shoes that hurt me because I've worn them and can't return them.... and can't afford to buy something else that DOES fit.

I ordered these in the size I always wear and thought I was sent a woman's size because they were so tight. It turns out that those junk padded insoles are so thick that I had to take a set out of an old pair of sneakers to be able to wear them comfortably. I normally wear barefoot shoes which is why I love Vans, and think what would work best for most people would be to either include a set of zero rise insoles, or finish the sneaker with a zero rise insole and include an optional and thinner insole with a little bit of rise for those who want to use it. Having slightly wide feet those padded insoles are useless and I'd have to probably go up a whole size and trip over the extra length to use them. I got them on sale, thank goodness, and aside from the insole issues they're great so far so I would recommend them as long as people know what they're getting into. Pro tip: keep it old skool.
