I’m currently pacing around my living room trying to convince myself that these shoes fit. I like the *idea* of them, & I do really need some winter footwear that I can more-or-less step into with minimal pulling. But as others have commented, these boots seem to run small. I ordered sz 9, & my 8.5 foot is pretty happy — but my 9ish foot is cramped, especially in the toebox. (The width is great for everything behind the ball of my foot.) What I (probably) really want is a 9.5, but of course that size was sold out by the time my sz 9 arrived. Instead, I keep debating between trying to stretch the leather part vs. giving up & returning.

Too small - bought half size up for thick socks. Could barely get my foot in without socks but were comfy when I did.

Too narrow for my bunion, especially on the right side.

I kept these because they're ok and I need warm, waterproof snow boots. The high top hurt the front of my shin so I've sewn a little sheepskin there. I think it's an awkward fit for me -- I could use more support and maybe a strap across the ankle. Will give them away, one of these days, and order a different pair. Quality seems good, however.

Shoes fit great, I bought them for my wife to go in snow and she loves them. The only thing she said is that they are loose around the ankle and could be a bit more snug.

Too tight in the toe box-i returned these and i am buying Columbia minx boots. Wish the shoe makers would make shoes for people who don’t want their toes to be squished all the time.

Super bummed. They are to narrow.

Bought these because Danner has been my go-to for a long time. A little disappointing, but I have kept them because with a couple of adjustments, they will be warm and stable in the snow. The caveats: the string that snugs the upper part of the boot truly feels like a medieval torture, even with jeans tucked in. I'll sew sheepskin inside the top of each boot to solve the problem, but Danner should have done that already, seeing as these seem built to be utilitarian boots, not "fashion" boots. Hard to believe they didn't address that detail. Length is fine, but the boot runs slightly narrow. Not a deal breaker if you size up, maybe 1/2 size. Cushioning is good, but I've added a little extra under the heel. Excellent sole has good lugs for winter traction. These are made in Vietnam, like my previous Danners. I was surprised that the overall quality seems to have dropped a bit. Comfort will be 5 stars after adjustments.
