Loved this pack. Carried 4L of water and food and gear on a 10 mile hike without any issue. The pockets on the strap are a game changer.

Purchased the Aerios 30 in the glade color and used it on a couple of class two 14'ers so far. It's been a solid pack and I've been super happy with it. Although time and continued use will tell the full story, the only con I've noticed has been the bungee chest straps - these have loosened a few times during each of these hikes while scrambling on rocks and boulders. The pro's however, outweigh this issue. The pack is super light, almost like a trail running pack with the bungee style chest straps and the ability to get a snug fit. It hugs the body well and has stretchy mesh pockets for snacks/hydration flasks up front and attachment points for trekking poles, etc. The lack of a dedicated hydration sleeve wasn't missed as my layers, snacks, etc. kept the bladder intact along with the built-in clip (I don't miss fighting to get a full hydration bladder into a designated sleeve). I really can't remember a time that I didn't have an issue with previous backpacks so I've been pleasantly surprised with this one so far.

I bought this pack about 7 months ago and love this pack, I use it for my Search and Rescue Missions, and it works great. It's a great day back, or overnight pack. I love that I can reach my poles, or food that I put in the pockets when I am hiking, and I love the pockets in both the waste belt and the front straps, I carry my ham radio in one of those when on missions. I find the pack comfortable, and easy to access. Love this pack and I have tried a few.

I purchased this pack with one thing in mind: Ultralight Multi-Night Fastpack trips. For that, this pack proved nearly perfect!
I have been sharply critical of their bags in the past, but Arcteryx has nailed it with this design. My partner and I just spent 5 days walking through the South Chilcotin Mountains, covering 30-40km per day and wanted to go light. We pulled it off in comfort and style with these bags. The pack sits comfortably for long durations both weighted and half full. Running vest style front pockets keep important things close (fits bear spray perfectly!) and make hydration easy without the hassle of a bladder. But most surprising was how useful the side wings are! At the beginning of our trip the extra space was very handy for things like the stove (Windburner), fuel, and sleeping pad. I figured they would bounce around a bit but held strong until we ate enough food to move them inside the main compartment. Also: the customization options for the compression straps are fantastic! Endless options and I played around with a few different systems for different scenarios, switching it up throughout my trip as the volume of my pack decreased.
If I had to change anything:
1. The chest straps slip as mentioned in another comment. I did not find this too annoying as I am always adjusting my straps throughout a trip anyway to move potential pressure points around, but I feel like there is a better way to build these...
2. The hydration pockets on the front shoulder straps of the womens small are SUPER tight. A bit more elasticity would help a lot. (My mens version was fine)
3. Load adjuster straps at the shoulders are a bit tricky to adjust.
Overall, amazing bag that I cannot say enough good things about. Finally a winner from Arcteryx. Thanks!

Pack is up to Arcteryx standards for quality and function and looks great. Hopefully will be able to put it to use soon once this pandemic is over and we can travel again.

Just started using mine, it's very comfortable, I hiked today going from 0 to 3000 feet in 3 miles and felt like I did not even have the pack on my back. Love the way I could reach into the side pockets, get my poles out, and other stuff without taking off the pack.

I have to say, I love backpacks, but I've never had one for any type of hiking whatsoever. I wanted to get something that has quality and also something that wasn't going to be a bit much for my level of outdoors action. So far, I've been on a couple of light hikes and I have to say it is everything I wanted and more. The water bladder comparability is great, even for my 3L Hydrapak it's a perfect size. The straps really take a load off and the actual material/ mesh on my back is extremely breathable and does not make me sweat as much as I should. The pockets on the shoulder straps and waist straps are great for your phone, portable charger, etc.. last but not least, I have plenty of space in the bag even after a change of clothes, so I'm sure it will still be great for an overnight trip! Also, I purchased the rain cover as well, and the small fits perfectly on it.

The pack itself is light and hugging the body. When loaded the weight feels like nothing at all. With the double sternum straps it brings the weight forward making for an enjoyable hike.
I have logged over 60 km and almost 3000 meters vertical so far with this pack hiking the eastern slopes of the Canadian Rockies. All I can say is that it is a keeper.

Excellent pack with many thoughtful and creative features. Very comfortable and adjustable suspension, and the chest pockets are a feature I can never live without again. The two adjustable side "pockets" are ingenious and can be adapted to do whatever you need them to do. My only gripes are that the inside key pocket is far too shallow to be useful and it'd be nice if you could route a hydration bladder hose behind it. Also note that although the product features show awesome matching Glade Yellow elastic cord on the front harness, the one that ships is all black. Arc' support says it's because of a durability issue, yet the yellow cord is still used elsewhere in the pack.

I own the 15 litre version of this pack and like it's smaller sibling the Aerios 30 has lots of packable space. The interior is larger than expected and the side pouches are very large. You have to tighten the compression straps at the sides to ensure items don't slip from the side pockets but after some experimentation I'd prefer it if all my previous hiking and trekking packs were to have this design, they are very versatile and compress to nothing when not in use. I really appreciate the chest/harness system on this range of pack, they spread the load really well and the additional storage is awesome for snacks, gels, mobile phones, mini torchesthe list goes on. Fabric seems bombproof as expected, all stitching and zippers are of high (and typical of Arcteryx) quality.
I see some have commented that the chest straps slip, this is somewhat true, although if you rethread the strap through it's own loop, or put a knot in the stretch cord this small issue is rectified.
I'd buy this 30l pack over every single other day/3 day hiking pack I've ever owned (and over the years I've owned loads maybe 30+) it's a great pack, perfect for many adventures. The colour choices are somewhat limited, light grey or bug attracting day glow yellow, it would be great for some dark colours such as deep blues, maybe a black or something else subdued.
Final note, I'm 6ft tall and originally bought the long back, I returned it for a regularif you in between sizes give the smaller a goit's a better fit and the frame doesn't hit the back of your head when you tilt your head to look up.
Don't think, just get one.it's brilliant.

Constantly pulling the chest strap tight. Slips loose. Drives me nuts.
