Bought these for my son and as usual, had to get the matching ones. Was super stoked when I got them. The materials fit great and super comfortable. Unfortunately, after about a week something came loose inside the left shoe and now pops every time I take a step. I had read of other people having this same issue but bought them anyway. For the price point this should not be happening. Also, this is the second time I've shared my experience on these shoes, but for some reason my review never got published. Hoping this doesn't become a trend for Vans, because they've been my favorite shoe for over 20 years.

I love these boots for style and are super comfortable. But I live in Lake effect weather, so lots of snow
They do not stand that weather are not warm. The main reason I bought them

these came with a dent in the lace holes. one of them was very obviously scratched up. I can't return them either due to me having to use these for work but I really thought I expected better from vans. I've ordered from them for years

When I first opened the box I thought they looked great, and being in utah during the winter i was excited to wear them, but they have little to no insulation at all and my feet get extremely cold in the snow. They are waterproof which is cool, but i was really hoping for some stylish warm shoes for the season. Bummer.

Hi! I'm a true 10 in women's, and these shoes run super big! Felt like I was wearing a men's 10. I wish I could order a smaller size, but it's all out of stock. Oh well.

They are comfortable but I can't get over how cheap they look in the toe box area. I wanted something a bit more trendy but comfortable to wear while walking around. This just isn't it.

I bought into the hype from the other reviews, and at first I really enjoyed them. Pretty comfortable and cozy, and not as intense looking as other hiking shoes. But living in the southeast the most important aspect to me is that they're meant to be waterproof. Well, less than one year later and neither shoe is waterproof anymore. If I walk through soggy or damp grass, the heels of my socks are getting wet. If you're looking for quality and durability, go elsewhere.

I bought these trusting the waterproof MTE marketing, but they're not. Every time I wear my MTE-2 out in snow or any moisture on the ground the moisture somehow soaks into the soles, maybe from around the leather and rubber connection. Point being me feet are always wet and then I need to wash them otherwise they stink. Don't buy if you want dry feet.

They reduced them even more by another 10% off it was on sale $30 off then 40% off the next day I was pretty upset that they switched up like that and I ended up buying another pair at that 40% off price - kinda sucks sometimes when they don't honor just one price that it just keeps changing

I bought MTE Vans a few years ago. Im normally a 9.5 but needed a 10. This time around the 10 is ENORMOUS and look like clown shoes. Don't like the All-Trac letters on white rubber sole.

The soles are already falling apart after 6 months, no longer waterproof or good for outdoors. Not the same quality they used to be

Was hoping to love and wear and continue to buy this model. I had them for about 9 months. The sole failed!
This is the second time this occurred.

Bought this after reading several reviews, the shoe is very tight, stiff and hot. I won't be wearing them and am bummed because they are so cute!

I loved these shoes when I bought them initially. Great style, comfy. 5 months in a catastrophic failure in the sole. Leaks all the time. Useless now

I loved my MTE-1s, but these were way too big and also make a really annoying popping noise every time I take a step on either foot. I've always been a men's 10.5 in every pair of Vans I own, but I could easily size down to a 9.5 in these. I will be returning and probably won't be repurchasing in a smaller size due to the popping noise. I should've read more reviews since many mention the same issues. I've been very disappointed in the quality of Vans over the last few years, which saddens me because they've been my go-to shoe for over a decade.

I own a pair of mte1 & got these for these for winter but they feel like they're different heights. Bought another pair and they feel identical.

Like many customers, I've worn Vans all my life. I've got well over 5,000 points with the Family right now because I buy at least 3 pairs a year. I've never had a complaint. This is my 2nd pair or MTE-2's and will probably be my last. My first pair lasted 2 hard fall and winter seasons, but this pair probably won't make it through January. I read a couple other reviews about the craftsmanship, but didn't believe it. Well, believe it. From the packaging to the construction, somebody is not monitoring quality control. The only saving grace is the slae price I purchased these for (but I wouldn't recommend even doing that). No one will see me sporting these but my neighbors while I'm cleaning up after my dogs. I won't stop buying Vans, but I will stop buying the MTE-2. DO NOT BUY.

In terms of fit and feel these exceeded expectations. Build quality seems poor, stitches coming undone after less than a week.

I bought these for my toddler and really liked them so I bought a pair for myself. The first week was awesome. They're comfortable, warm, good materials etc. Unfortunately, after about a week something came loose in the inside of the left one, and every time I take a step it makes a popping noise. I am not hard on shoes, and only do some minor hiking in the woods, and I read other reviews of people saying this but bought them anyway. Too expensive of a shoe to be doing this. Super disappointed. Lifelong Vans fan. But for the money, might just want to buy some regular boots.

To say I am disappointed is an understatement.
I searched far and wide for these shoes in stores, every store that I visited I ultimately left with my head hanging due to them being out of stock. This told me that they must be a great shoe, so I tried on a different colorway just to get a feel for the shoe and find my size. I loved them and pulled the trigger to order them online. Shoe shipped fairly fast and I was very excited to wear them this upcoming week due to my current work shoes causing a little heel pain. Grab them from the mailbox, open the box and the real quality quickly was revealed. My shoes had more than a production goose-egg... There was a complete tear through the shoe all the way to the shoelace hole as well as a frayed hole on the other side. It is my first pair of vans and I just expected a much better quality product or QC (Quality Control) process. I understand mistakes happen but I figured I would leave a review so if it happened to someone else they know they are not alone.
Hesitant to try again just to find another flaw in such a wonderful feeling shoe. If it comes torn how am I to believe it won't tear when I wear it around? Pictures below display the severity of the mishap.

Loved the style and the comfort however, I bought these because they claim to be water resistant but they are no more resistant than the regular Vans other styles. Disappointed in this purchase

I only wore them lightly, went to a restaurant on a date one and wore them sitting for a bit. I hardly ever really walked in them, and I've had them for a little over 2 weeks about and the stitching already ripped at the front seams. I'm trying to contact Vans now to see if they can fix this issue. Will change my review if resolved reasonably.
