Very comfortable, soles seam to wear out quick and the rubber detached from the heel on the left shoe of my first pair, but I do ride motorcycles In them

i needed water/snow proof shoes but i was never a fan of the stereotypical work boots. these are perfect to protect me from the cold and i wear them in the rain. i basically only wear vans and would be so sad when id have wet socks from my classics in the rain. love these. only "flaw" for me is the fact that they are a bit tight. im a size nine and im flat footed so these are a big of a squeeze but i still love em.

Bought in normal size 9 1/2, show was very tight. I tried with different thickness sock, and they just were too snug. They did seem well made, and cushy footbed. Bought online, I didn't end up loving the design in person.

I own a pair of MTE-1 high tops in a men's 7.5/women's 9 and love them. Decided to get these because I liked the colors. This style was a lot puffier/material was much thicker than the suede MTE-1's I own so they looked very clunky on my feet. Also the sizing was way off which might have contributed to how big they looked. Although they were labeled with the same size as my MTE-1's these shoes were so big I could easily stick 2 fingers in between the back of my foot and the shoe. The colorway was so cute I reordered them in a smaller size but later got an email from vans that they's run out of stock. Bummer.

My son loves the look and feel of these. The only complaint is that the sole is made weird so there is space between the sole and shoe so the rubber pops in and out.

Great design, color and material. However, because of the insulation inside, they run smaller than normal vans high tops. Buy a half size up or more.

I wore these right out of the box for a12 hour shift of standing and walking and they are incredibly comfortable!. They weren't too hot for wearing indoors, and they were warm enough when I was outside.
I wore them the next day for an 8 hour indoor shift, and they weren't too warm to wear inside all day. I have wide feet, and these fit nicely with thin socks - no pinched toes! I was afraid the glitter would look like a little kid's sparkly shoe, but it isn't ridiculously bling'ed. It's visible but not crazy shiny. Because the laces are too short and I had to buy longer laces, and the left shoe had no "Off The Wall" tag on the back (it had fallen off and was in the box, so I glued it back on) these get 4 stars. I plan to get another pair in a different color, that's how much these rock!

I really like the shoes and great fit and comfortable. But very hard to place your foot into. I have to use a shoe horn on my regular Hi tops. Thought these would be a little easier. NOT!

Bought MTE 2s and gave them a water test with low pressure hose and then walked a few places in pouring rain. Inside stayed dry as long as pants cover down the top few eyelets. Tread and insulation are good for snow. I would have liked a little more heal support but better than previous mte pair I owned. Not sure how waterproofing will hold up over time but seems ok. One shoe's sole was slightly off center with the bottom rubber sidewalls but no big deal. Overall good shoes.

Picked this up on a recent Vans sale. It is a good more solid-built shoe that can be used for day hiking or light outdoor work while still offering a more casual style. Obviously you would go for a more heavy-duty work or hiking boot alternative for more serious activities but it is a good stylish option for what it is. However I would find the full price to be excessive given what competitors offer at a similar price point.

These are fantastic boots. They are warm and comfortable, could wear them all day. The laces that come with them are a bit too short.

This is the third pair of these that I have purchased. Very comfy and warm. My only problem is that the laces are too short for 2 of my 3 pairs and I can't find replacement laces anywhere.

Thick, soft, awesome colorway (I got the pink/green/black). I ordered my usual Vans hightop size 6, but was very tight. Exchanged for a 6.5 and fits perfect. I wish they were just a touch higher so they're more practical for walking in wet/snowcovered streets, but they will still be my go-to for cold and wet weather.

Comfy cold weather sneaker. Warm for fall and light winter temps. No traction on ice and snow unfortunately.

I read the reviews and ordered a half size larger than what I normally wear in Vans. They were still too small and tight toe box. Order one size up!

I loved the Vans MTE DX and I've been trying to find the current equivalent. These come close but are just not as comfortable. They squeeze in the wrong spots and feel much heavier. I love the colors though.

I saw the tripped out trekker colors and knew I had to get them. They feel great on the feet and are comfortable even after an 8 hour shift of a lot of walking. So far they seem fairly durable, though I try not to do anything too stressful on the shoes. However, even after light use it didn't take long to notice that annoying "pop" sound with each step on the right shoe, and it's starting to happen on the left as well. It can be annoying and noticeable, especially if you're walking somewhere alone or it's quiet (it's a fairly unmistakable sound). Seems to be a common issue, which is unfortunate, and it could be enough to deter from being an everyday use shoe. I like to swap my shoes often depending on my mood or fit, and even tho I want them in my rotation, I'm reminded of that annoying sole pop that occurs. The aesthetic and comfort is there, I just have that slight caveat with the bottom sole design. It's one of the main things I think could be better designed and more thought out since the issue has persisted before, but it's stayed the same.
