I definitely have been sleeping on the Vans MTE boot line. While not a traditional "work boot" I use them for work. I do pond maintenance and landscaping. They whole up good in the dirt, good grip on wet grass and on rocks even with the sole slightly wet. They are stiff at first. They mess with the back on your heel a bit. They felt like mini Snowboarding Boots. However just like any other vans products they break in nice after about 2 weeks. I use them about 6-8hrs a day about 5-6 times a week. I'll definitely be buying another pair.

These are fantastic shoes. I love them. That said, can confirm presence of an odd, intermittent popping sound while walking. Similar to a muffled flip-flop sound. I'm choosing to live with it, while hoping it goes away. If it were for the pip-pop, 5 Stars.

Provide extra shoelaces that do not come untied. The provided shoelaces = very stylish but do not stay tied.

Exelente fit. Too much rubber at the front but besides that they are great. I would recommend to any person.

Needed something for work not really into normal boots these are good for me they get a little hot but here sooner or later the Colorado weather will change

I've been die hard Vans guy since the 90's, but became disappointed when Vans stopped making those style shoes anymore. All they make are the old school ones with the terrible soles. I tried to like them but they just aren't the same. The MTE series are a very cool thing Vans has done. They have taken traditional Vans and crossed them with Hiking boots. They are very well made and love them. Great for hiking and winter. I highly recommend, they are sturdy and stylish. They look like regular Vans but are heavy duty and solid like Hiking shoes or boots.

All around i am Satisfied with these shoes... So funky cute and they're stylish. I love vans brand, have for quite some time. Thanks vans family! :)

These shoes are really good to have when it's raining! They can be a little uncomfortable after a long time, but overall they're very nice!

they make my feet look pretty big but they are pretty warm and light. good for cold weather didn't realize they were more for cold temps and not regular high tops but that's my bad

The added cushion is very helpful and I have been able to wear them 8+ hours at a time and my feet won't hurt afterwords. As it's summer right now, I haven't been able to try any of the weather proof features. One thing I am worried about though is the glitter falling off, as it looks like it was just glued there. If I remember, I will come back in a few months and update on the weather proofing and how the glitter looks.
