Bought specifically for long hikes.

These socks will eventually wear through - eventually. I just purchased a new pair to add to my rotations and replace a couple of old ones that I've had for about 8 years. I wear them in New England winters, to fill out boots and fit in hiking shoes and to lounge in. They're warm, but they breathe, and they come in enough ankle heights and patterns to be background/normal socks or to add a bit of fun. I love them. And I just made use of their sock recycling program, adding a bag to my order that I just dropped at FedEx full of clean but holey socks of all brands and materials. I feel better knowing they aren't in the trash and I really appreciate the opportunity to use this program.

I wear Smartwool socks as everyday socks doesn't matter what sport they are designed for.

Great for skiing and work

Great socks. I use these in my blundstones and they don't slip around or fall down. They're warm without being too warm. I do wish they had more vibrant colours and patterns. But these are okay too. Would love to see bright and loud styles too.

These are absolutely the perfect height and fabric weight for hiking boots: feet don't get too hot and your foot doesn't feel cramped. Great purchase, wish they came in so many more colors!

I got these to wear with my Brunt 6" waterproof workboots. Being waterproof they do NOT breathe. The Smartwool socks keep my feet dry even with these!

Love these hiking socks!

My favorite socks are Smartwool socks. They keep my feet warm when hiking, especially in the snow. If they get wet, they dry quickly. They are also comfortable.

These are great socks. I am liking the mid crew to wear this winter. I am a nine and prefer ordering down to a medium so not to have a sloppy toe. Perfect weight for me.

Fit well, keep my feet warmer than cotton socks.

These socks are so warm and feel so comfortable . They hold up when washed repeatedly. I wear them with my workout tights. They are just the right height for this . I would absolutely recommend them.

I love my new socks. For the first time in a while my feet are dry and warm. I've washed them twice, alone snd they look new. No pilling .

I love the fit and color!

These are one of my favorite styles of socks out of the variety I purchased from a few different brands for this winter. I have very cold but sweaty feet so I need a sock that allows them to breathe, but keeps them warm and dry. I like that these are snug but not tight so they don't slide around on my foot inside my boots. I like the length covers my ankle for cold weather, but doesn't feet tight on my legs. I wish there were more color options, I'd buy more! I recommended these to a friend already. I wear them for daily use like with leather boots at my office desk job or with snow boots for walking my dog or running errands.

Warm and yet still comfortable in most shoes as well as boots

Great hiking sock. I'm a women's size 9 shoe and purchased a M. These are relatively padded and warm.
