I was, & still am confused about which type of sock to buy. I work retail & walk on concrete floors all day. I received of pair of this brand(smart wool) of socks from my cousin whom passed away so I was just guessing what kind to get. I was expecting more padding(like the pair I already had) on all the pressure points of my foot such as the heel, toes, ball, & sides . Overall, a wonderful product but this pair is not what I expected.

These are beautiful socks, obviously good quality but the fit is disappointing. I bought size Large in this style and the Crew sock. The crew socks fit perfectly, but these are larger-too large for a correct fit (but very snug around the ankle). #sweepstakes

Typically love smartwool, but these "light" cushion socks are not light at all.

Why are they so tight in the ankle? I have narrow feet and the large feels like extra small.

These are the socks I wear on my serious hikes - more than 3 miles! They are so comfortable and keep my feet dry and odor free. I wore a pair on the Camino Portugues (182 miles) and I got zero blisters! These socks are quality and have lasted wash after wash in cold water and air dried. I bought 4 more pair of these for my next hike - Tour du Mont Blanc (100 miles). I highly recommend these socks if you care about quality and comfort.

While I really like the style and colors of these socks, I cannot tolerate this fabric weave. I have worn Smartwool socks for many years, and miss the soft, comfortable fit and feel of previous fabric weaves that included a higher percentage of natural fiber wool.
