I use these socks with my light weight hiking boots year round. Warm enough down to 30 degees in the winter but also cool enough up to 90 degrees in the summer.

Like the name implies, these are truly a classic. Great sock.

Love the socks overall but they are very heavily padded, and not "light" as was in the description. I can't fit into my regular shoes because the socks are so bulky, but they're great in if you thought ahead and accomodated snowboots for thick socks! Just be careful trying to pair these with everyday run around shoes.

Although these are made of wood and are beautiful, one size does not fit all. Small size was huge. I had to return them.

I have been wearing Smartwool socks for a few years. I have circulatory issues in toes and it is imperative that I keep toes warm. This particular crew sock I wear as an everyday sock if I am going to be outdoors during cold weather. I am a walker but not a hiker. I find the socks warm and cozy. Very durable and does well in washings. Smartwool brand recommended by my podiatrist.

We are planning on using these socks for our trip to Africa. So far we've been training in them and they keep my feet cool and with cushion. Expensive, but you get what you pay for.
