I tried these because I only buy work pants that have a flap-less side pocket by the knee for my utility knife (like carhartts b01). Holding up well after 1 year. They are not super slim, which is nice actually. I'm very skinny, 5'10 140lbs, and these are form fitting enough but still have decent breathing room. I didn't like how loose they are around the ankle at first, but they stay over my boots much better than other pants I've tried with a tapered fit. If you're working around dirt that's important. My only gripe is the low cut of the pockets, like someone else mentioned, things fall out easily, usually my pencil. As a carpenter it would be nice to have a tool loop on one of the legs and throw a second knee/side pocket on the other leg too, then they'd be the perfect pants. Hope they don't discontinue the slim fit like every other brand has done... I'll be buying more since there really aren't any better fitting carpenter pants that don't cost 3 times as much

I really like these pants, they last about 2 years for me (welder). They are very comfortable and the cell phone pocket is invaluable.

The M7 is the only work pant I wear! Im a ironworker and these hold up pretty well and lightweight.

Great pants, comfortable and durable. The fit is snug but stretches as needed.

These pants are great! Love the tough stitching and pant material, however washing them often seems to wrinkle them unless I hang dry them and fold them immediately. They fit wonderfully over my boots, while still fitting my skinnier build. I will definitely continue using these pants on site.

If you work outdoors I feel these pants would be perfect for fall winter and spring. The material is really thick and too warm for indoors and summers especially indoor during the summer in my opinion Pros: For work pants they are great! fit well.Comfortable. Thick material great for winter. Cons: too heavy thick for summer time inside a factory. Sweat like crazy and got rashes on my legs from the heat.

These are great quality pants. Good material. Good everything. But, they are extremely tight around the boys.

Darn good work pants. Sturdy. However, I believe these pants were available in a slimmer version, which I wanted.

Plenty of belt loops and separate cell phone pocket are my favorite features without being a cargo pant.

Very comfortable and stylish. love the pocket on the side, secures me cellphone, and allows me to go about my day without my phone catching on everything. Side pocket protects your phone, it's in a non impact location. Front pockets are deep to secure all all valuables. Love the key loop.

I usually do not wear pants. I am a shorts guy. I do not like the constricting feeling. However, these pants are one of the most comfortable I have worn. I like the fit and form of them.

I only gave these 4 stars because the M7 is advertised as thin fit; however, these are more of a straight fit, as the pant does not have a slim(mer) leg opening. They are true to size, so no need to size up or down. I will continue to buy Ariat products over the competition!
