I tried these boots on at a store. Love the style and great tread on these shoes for walking on the snow. They fit but were tight on the top of my foot area and wouldn’t give. I couldn’t wear bigger socks and they didn’t have any more sizes so I decided not to buy them. I went online to buy a half size larger hoping they would have more room in the foot area. Same tightness…not made for women with wide feet. Real bummer cause I really liked the boots.

This review is for my friends with challenging feet! I wore these shoes in Iceland in early spring for a week straight right out of the box, they are very comfortable though stiff as you would expect for insulated hiking boots. My other Oboz hiking boots are an 8 and I had to order an 8.5 for this style even with regular medium weight hiking socks. I have long toes & a Morton's neuroma and I appreciate this brand for the wide toe box. My heal is narrow and Oboz works nicely there too. My feet were warm and dry with only one pair of regular socks.

Beautiful shoe! Unfortunately did not fit and I have to send it back, , runs at least a full size small and also is too narrow for my wide foot. If it fits, though , I highly recommend, its rare to find a super stylish and comfortable hiking shoe and this seems to fit the bill

Wider toe box which is great. I wore these boots indoors all day to check them out and felt like I was wearing sneakers - and my feet are hard to fit.

I wore them for a 3 mile winter/spring hike. This year April in northern Minnesota has been very cold. I needed this type of boot to stay warm and dry. The boot comes up higher on my ankle than my standard summer hiking boots. Conditions that day were snow/ ice and wet. The boots were perfect for this weather. No blisters. I’ll be ready to do a much longer hike. They passed the test.

Felt beautifully cushy and Oboz solid, with a good fit in spite of this being a medium width and my usually taking a wide. But the color was not as shown. Was expecting an intense rusty red, instead it was more muted and like a caramel color. Exchanged for one of the other colors.

The Sphinx are stiff when you put them on. I left the top tie undone while I got a feel for them. These are well-made boots that have a proper waterproofing gusset on the side of the laces. I have fairly narrow, low volume feet, however I also have bunions. I need a shoe with more room in the toe box. These were too narrow for me and also pressed down from above. I only wore them inside, so can't speak to traction. Wanted to love 'em, but they had to go back.

These are *almost* the perfect goldilocks shoes for me. I've been searching for new snow boots for 2 years. I have problem feet and I'm super picky. I would've given these 5 stars across the board except that they're useless in light rain for keeping your feet dry. I'm buying some waterproofing spray and fingers crosssed that helps. I'm so disappointed, but I have to keep these - I've run out of options.

Loved the look of these and order my usual size. Couldn't keep them on long enough to walk around the house in them as they were very narrow and tight across the top of the top of the boot (not able to loosen laces enough to correct this). They were very were uncomfortable very quickly. Sent them back.

Room in toes, OK in heel. However, the top of my foot was so squished that I had to take them, because the pain was bad.

Most comfy and sturdy boots for all weather! And cute enough to teach in and stand in all day!

I ordered and returned 3 other pairs of boots. These boots are exceptional! The fit , comfort and looks are perfect. I’m so happy I found them. I live in extreme snow and the boots are made for weather. You can wear them all day. They are incredibly light and your feet stay warm and dry. The vibram sole is the best you can buy. These boots are totally worth the cost! Love them!

I love these boots! I ordered and sent back many other pairs. These boots are comfortable like shoes. We went snowmobiling all day and my feet never got cold. The vibram sole is awesome, even on the ice. Last but not least, they look great!

Excellent comfy shoes! They are warm and easy to walk in and perfect for snow and ice. And comfy enough to stand in all day teaching!

Great boot, comfortable straight out of the box. I work in NYC and do a lot of walking all day. These have kept my feet warm, dry and supported.

These boots are SO lightweight and supportive. No more dreading to go out in the bitter cold or snow because of stiff, heavy snow boots. I’m usually an 8.5-9, and these ran large for me, 9.5 fit me best. I have very narrow feet and was worried they’d be too wide at first but the flexible tongue really allows you to lace as tight as you need. I got the black- tried the other colors on in store and black looked most sleek and versatile. No break in period with these, they have given me a new love for winter.

Most comfortable winter boots I have ever owned. Great in icy surfaces and keep your feet warm.
