I was surprised how good they felt out of the box. That being said the shoes are not worth $189 I spent on them one moderate day of hiking in the low hills of Utah. And the shoes were literally falling apart. If you were going to use them as kick around the house shoes they would be great I’m guessing for at least 2 to 3 weeks then you can watch $189 fall apart right in front of your eyes.

Excellent insole, like a cloud inside. My new favorite, most comfortable brand. I like the hidden eyelets, looks sleek. Works well with overalls or Star Trek uniform. You don't have to change shoes. Insulation decreases width some but I have one D and one C width foot anyway. I probably need to drop a few cans of ammo on the C foot like I did the D one.

I have to order a size larger than normally wear, but these are my new most comfortable and favorite boot. I generally look at millimeter size rather than American size to see if they are comparable. These are so nice I think I will get another pair incase they discontinue a winner like these. I wear them for dress shoes because I have Army feet, but then I don't care what anyone thinks anyway. These are really nice. You can change into a Star Trek uniform and not change shoes. Already broken in. Like walking on a cloud.

My new best favorite most comfortable shoe. I will probably buy another pair for formal occasions. They go well with anything from overalls to Star Trek uniforms and you can wear the same shoe. I have Army feet and I really appreciate a good boot.

These boots were comfortable out of the box. I use them for snowshoeing so I can't comment on the traction of the soles, but I can say they are warm and comfortable boots with decent arch support.

They may run *slightly* large, though that's what you want in an insulated boot in which you're going to wear heavier socks. Insulation isn't luxurious, but too much more would make the boots unwearable indoors. I find them surprisingly light-weight and flexible, making them a pleasure to walk in. The suede (at least in the lighter brown color) shows scuff marks a bit more readily than I may have hoped. Happy with the purchase overall, as I have been with all the other Oboz shoes I've (must be five pairs or so by now).

Fit, style, and size were great. I tested the Vibram soles on solid ice, and I'm disappointed they don't grip any better than the Bates soles I have on my other boots. They definitely don't prevent slippage on ice, especially with a moderate downslope on icy road surfaces.
