I loved the Quest 4d 3 GTX. Every single thing that was changed from those to these was a mistake, down to the lace hooks and the color.
That piece of leather in the middle, am I hiking or climbing trees?
You have to take the laces out of the upper eyes to get the boots on, then relace them. Not something I want to deal with every morning. I don't want to have to sit down for 3 minutes and mess with my boots on my way out the door. I shouldn't have to sit to put my boots on.
Bring back the Quest 4d 3 GTX, until then I'll be buying my boots elsewhere.

Bought a pair online, going to be painful to break in. Extremely narrow boots. I don't recommend them

The blue support factory padding is missing , you only get the OTRTH inserts. Thus I guess that's why theses are marked as Neutral for support , so it depends on how your feet feel, for me it's a deal breaker. I need foot support,

The shoes were very stiff and my feet were sore just having them on for a few minutes.

Brand new shoe and it already has a few defects. I would have returned it but I am unable to since my hiking trip will be tomorrow.

I'm a massive fan of Salomon boots and have purchased dozens of pairs over the years. Unfortunately these particular boots let me down hugely. I used these recently for a hike around Snowdonia. I found the grip to be non existent on ground or rock that was not completely dry. I slipped and lost my footing numerous times and eventually had to turn back because my footwear just wasn't up to the job. Very very dissatisfied with this particular boot. Would not recommend it for wet weather hiking.

Initial pair was replaced by Salomon as they leaked - this pair now leak after 3 weeks of after minimal use, Salomon have no refused to replace - avoid them they fall apart and provide no water protection

I bought these Element boots 2 moths ago and over this time frame I have found them to be really poor fitting and very uncomfortable boots causing me numerous issues. Firstly in the past I have owned five pairs of Salomon Quest boots and all were size 10 and they have always fit like a glove instantly and I still own a pair which I can use as a comparison with these Element boots and these Elements which are also a size 10 seem to be longer in its overall length and more narrow in the mid sole causing them to be really uncomfortable, I have tried thicker hiking socks to hopefully cushion the boot a little more but its now got to the point where I have stopped using them due to the problems they are causing so I would not recommend these boots.
