These socks are super cushy and soft. Planning on using them when I hike Kilimanjaro. Hoping they'll keep my feet warm on the last day. #sweepstakes

FANTASTIC SOCKS! They are so soft and comfortable. There's definitely plenty of cushiness. Feet felt fine and not too hot.

The size medium was recommended to me by the website but as it is unisex it fits a bit large. It's not too large that the heel is going up the back of my leg but it is loose. I am an 8.5 women's.

I've been using Smartwool socks for over 13 years, and they've consistently proven to be a reliable part of my wardrobe. I wear them for a wide variety of activitiesfrom everyday use to hiking, traveling, and even lounging at home. No matter the situation, they always deliver on comfort and performance.
What's great about these socks:
The quality is unmatched. They're durable, soft, and expertly crafted, so they don't lose shape or comfort even after years of wear and washes. The moisture-wicking properties keep my feet dry during physical activities, and the breathability is fantasticI can wear them year-round without feeling too hot or cold. The fit is perfect, with just the right amount of stretch and cushioning that makes them incredibly comfortable all day long.
What's not great:
Honestly, there's very little to fault with Smartwool socks. If I had to mention one thing, it would be the pricethey're definitely on the premium side. However, given their durability and the comfort they offer, they're worth every penny.
Overall, Smartwool socks are a product I can wholeheartedly recommend. They're an investment in quality and comfort that will keep your feet happy for years.

These are some of the better modern day wool socks I have worn. They are thick and warm though still not as warm as vintage wool
Socks used to be. It may be there is more elastic or plastic in this brand than there used to be. I look forward to seeing how they stand over time.

Really comfy and thick but it's already peeling after one wear. I'm hesitant about how long it will last.

Turbo cozy is all I can say. Buy a few pairs as I will be after my test purchase.

They fill up enough space in my boots that my feet don't slip around in them anymore, but my feet are small and my calves are Not, so the socks slide down my legs throughout the day, which is annoying

Sock used for everyday use and hiking. Aesthetic, comfortable and warm.
Wears out somewhat fast. Previous packaging preferred: hiking, trekking, mountaineering.

I purchased both the full and extra cushion hike crew socks, which allows me to adjust to current weather conditions. Both socks are comfortably padded and warm. I do prefer the previous product packaging/labeling (hiking, trekking, mountaineering), as this is clearer and simpler. Socks can wear out a bit rapidly, but nevertheless Smartwool socks are my favorite and I recommend them.

The extra cushioning is great and the usual good quality wool is there. The only negative is that it's classified as a crew sock but it is a bit longer than the crew sock model with less cushioning. Not horrible but without question not your normal crew sock. It wasn't a shipping error either the sock tags said crew.

Warm and lots of cushion. Worn for a winter hike and it felt good. Need more miles to make a better review. They are nice.

I was hesitant to buy from Smartwool after I found out the wool percentage has gone down about 7% since I bought my last pair about four years ago. I know their merino wool is what makes the socks so unique and high quality. The comfort and warmth is unmatched! I decided to give them another chance anyway after buying a pair by a different brand (which turned out to be horrible). Lo, and behold, I was surprised there wasn't a big difference in comfort, warmth, or quality! I suppose time will tell how long they last as I've only had them a week or so. The best thing about Smartwool is they fit so well without being loose. I've tried other brands and they are so tight they're uncomfortable. Also, Smartwool seems to be more durable over time while other brands shrink right away. Also, they are the softest brand out there. Other brands I've tried are so harsh and scratchy they are not the same as Smartwool! I would give 5 stars if they hadn't changed the wool content which I preferred what it was previously.
