I was hesitant to buy from Smartwool after I found out the wool percentage has gone down about 7% since I bought my last pair about four years ago. I know their merino wool is what makes the socks so unique and high quality. The comfort and warmth is unmatched! I decided to give them another chance anyway after buying a pair by a different brand (which turned out to be horrible). Lo, and behold, I was surprised there wasn't a big difference in comfort, warmth, or quality! I suppose time will tell how long they last as I've only had them a week or so. The best thing about Smartwool is they fit so well without being loose. I've tried other brands and they are so tight they're uncomfortable. Also, Smartwool seems to be more durable over time while other brands shrink right away. Also, they are the softest brand out there. Other brands I've tried are so harsh and scratchy they are not the same as Smartwool! I would give 5 stars if they hadn't changed the wool content which I preferred what it was previously. #sweepstakes

Purchased these socks to wear with winter hiking boots for a snowshoeing/Northern Lights trip North of the Arctic circle in northern Sweden and Finland. My feet were toasty and warm in below freezing temperatures.

I wear these socks hiking, walking, working and they have never let me down. FINALLY got some new ones as I have not bought new Smart Wool for at least 10 years, they have lasted that long. They are pricey but worth every penny. I would love to try some of their clothes.

I originally bought these socks because I wanted a thicker, warmer sock for winter sports. Guess what: there's more to these socks than warmth! When you're doing a lot of walking, especially on uneven terrain, these socks provide tons of padding that not only keep you warm, but also comfortable. And, yes, even in summer, you'll find these socks draw sweat off of your feet, yet still provide excellent padding.

Great for anything outside in the winter

These were not what I was expecting at all and were way too thick. I think I misunderstood the description. I returned them last week but still have not yet received my refund.

My husband wears boots to work on his feet all day. Tried a pair of SmartWool socks. We had to buys more cause he wears them everyday! Thank you SmartWool.

Wear with boots when snow blowing neighborhood or out on a day of skiing (though they tend to bunch up after a while inside the boot).

Every day warmth and comfort

These are great socks. The extra padding on the sole is wonderful for 10 hour days working in the snow and on my feet.

They are warm and comfortable. My only complaint is the elastic at the top, it is super tight.

Well I figured since my feet are small and very narrow, even the Wms. Small size might be too big. But when I got them, I tried them on and they fit perfectly. We've had some cold wheather this year in WI. and right now the temp. has improved a bit, but my feet are always cold in the winter and I've worn them for everyday now lots. They wash and dry up nice too. I would buy again.

Warm, comfortable, and thick. They started showing signs of wear after an hour long winter bike ride. The elastic in the foot and calf area is stretched out very quickly and doesn't keep the sock in place.
