Jacket is nice and warm. Consider a slim fit. My true to size is medium. I had to size up for more comfort. I only gave 3 stars because the zipper is cheaply made. Used it twice and zipper broke. Please use higher quality zipper next time. Returned mine

My son loved the jacket but the zipper won't unzip from the bottom. When I called North Face I found out there are no more in stock. So, I'm working on it. If I have to, I'll have the zipper replaced. My son was so disappointed!!!

Everything is good except zippers. Pocket zippers and main front zipper are not good quality and get stuck

This is my third Thermoball and it's obvious they're going cheap on their product. The logos used to always be embroidered and now it's just a cheap rubber iron-on patch plus the sleeves are thinner.

Not as nice as the original ThermoBall jacket. My husband wanted a ThermoBall jacket to replace his older one that now has some wear and tear. However, the much larger quilted square pattern on this jacket doesn't look as nice on him as the original.

For a middle-aged man having a medium build, the jacket was snug around the waist and chest. However, very nice for the thin folks.

The old version was great. Wore it over a fleece vest for great versatility. No more.

I would really would have liked the fabric to not be so shiny. Also, the large white logo on the front & back is a bit much. Kids might like the label showing in such a manner; however as an adult, I like that to be less prominent. Possible black on black. Quality still great. Returned for the reasons mentioned.

This is an update on the exchange of size. I had to order a larger size from a Large to XL but the arms are still way too tight and the body begins to feel too lose :/ why are the arms so slim, North Face should take into account muscles. Needless to say if you have biceps this jacket won't fit. Dissapoined.

I purchased the first issue of Thermoball jacket several years ago. The zipper brand was YKK, a stalwart and sturdy zipper of good quality. The quilting was much more tightly spaced and contoured. The new version is just a larger square quilting, 2.5"x 2.5", with no special detailing while the zipper is smaller and cheaper looking. I would rather pay more for the same original quality than this current version which seems like a knock-off. But hopefully it still serves the same insulation purpose.

The waist on this jacket is unreasonably small. The shoulders are also tight so it feels quite restricted when the jacket is fully zipped up. The jacket does hold up very well in single digit temps. Either size up or try it on in person before you consider buying online. I'm a consistent Medium across my jackets and this one feels small and tight.

There's a definite difference in quality with this jacket compared to their normal down jackets. I don't know it just felt cheap to me. Also tested it outside and it wasn't warm at all. Returned.

I've worn northface for 20years. The quality continues to decline. I purchased the men's thermaball jacket to replace the one my husband has had for years that finally gave out. The new one doesn't have the embroidered logo on the front and back. The new logo is a screen print and looks like a sticker. The jacket is more lightweight and the quality doesn't seem the same as previous thermaball jackets. I hope northface bring the quality back to where it's always been.

Less than 2 weeks after buying, this coat started falling apart. I'm very disappointed in the quality. I expected more from The North Face.

The jacket is not advertised as being a slim fit, but it is. I found the forearms a bit tight, and I am not that muscular. But the worst thing is, you cannot unzip the jacket with one hand. You must use two hands and fiddle with it until eventually the zipper comes free. It's made by YKK, which is a normally top-of-the-line brand, except it's thin plastic. I'm told by the store representative that all the jackets of this type are hard to unzip. Vanity Fair, you need to fix this it looks pretty, but it is not functional. I have returned mine.

I bought this coat three months ago. While I did like the coat, the zipper is already broken and now I can not zip the coat up. I am disappointed in the quality of this coat. I bought the same coat a few years ago and the same thing happened. I will probably choose a different brand next time.

I'm 6'1" 190 lbs and somewhere between skinny/athletic build. Purchased a Large. Unfortunately, the sleeves are uncomfortably narrow, so I had to return it. I'll note that I do not have thick arms and have never owned a piece of clothing that felt too tight in the arms.

Ordered a large (previous thermoball jacket I had was a large and was big on me). This one was extremely tight in the arms and chest.....Not a great fit. Quality seemed to be less than the previous version as well.
